You have a tough problem! He is still a baby. That must be terribly difficult.

I would think you could talk to a pharmacist or the doctor about a speciality

pharmacy that could make FA in liquid form or either somehow put it in

suspension. I'll look around and see what I can find. How many milligrams do

they suggest for one so small?

It may taste better to him to crush the regular FA pills, as they are rather

small. I'll run chew one and let you know.

Very cool, these guys have dropper liquid FA 1 drop has 100 micrograms. 4 oz

bottle for $8.95.

I also chewed up an 800 mcg tablet of FA in the Rite Aid brand. It had no

taste. Just chalky. About the size of an aspirin. So at least the no taste

may not add a fruity flavor to his pudding.

Good Luck with this!

Here is another suggestion, crushing the FA real fine and placing it on his

favorite juice.

Thanks - hadn't considered that one yet. He's not taking juice yet but we did

try some flavored apple sauce. That seems to be working so far (until he

decides to change things up again... lol).

Audra, thank you SO MUCH for finding that. I have a call in to our rheum to see

exactly how much he wants having - I will probably order that this week -

would be far easier to get a few drops in to a spoon of something and then in to

him. :)

I'll also keep in mind crushing up the FA tablets and hiding it in apple sauce

for him. He just started tolerating apple sauce so maybe that will work too.

Gotta get him eating pudding too (what kid doesn't like chocolate pudding??? ).

Thanks!
