SHOOT! Lets hope its not lupus. But isnt lupus more of an organ type of

arthritis annie.? I knew a lady with lupus and yes she did hurt, but not that

bad. What lupus was doing was attacking her organs, but she had it for years and

years and years.

They did a study, my mother particvipated years back. And the medical community

were trying to connect a severe emotional upset with the onset of a immune

disorder like RA. It hasnt been very long since that awful thing happened to

you. I hope it didnt trigger something.

pancreatic cancer now!   We filed a court order to go to his house to look for

all our things, and they are not letting us go in. So next week the judge is

going to decide, and he'll probably wonder what they are hiding? and let us in

with a court order.

I know how you feel, but Dont think about it Annie, and try not to think about

being ALONE either. When you feel upset about being alone, put it right out of

your mind. Dont dwell on that. Push those thoughts right OUT. When i get those

kind of thoughts i put them right out of my mind. Because those kind of thoughts

are bad for your health physically too. Just remember things usually work out. I

know you have been having a ruff time lately. The worse thing you can do is get

panicky. I know cause i am like that myself. ok? cindy

The symptoms you have could be anything. Example. If i were to look at a symptom

list for MS. I have them all. I dont have ms tho.

Symptoms are funny. They can fit many diseases. I will pray you dont have it.

But i would be scared too Annie. But that would be the worse case scenerio. How

long will you have to wait to find out for sure? If you get scared and need to

talk, i am always home. Dont forget that.

YES Rochelle is always right on the money! Well rochelle knows more than any MD

around my neck of the woods!

Well reason I mention that oyster thing is.. You never know now a days. It

seems ever since that incident, you havent been feeling well. You dont know, if

it is connected. And doctors may not know either. Gosh gees maybe there is a

bug in your system from that effecting your whole system. . Make ****sure*** you

mention that. Who the heck knows? maybe you ate red tide. Seems like you have an

infection of some type.

YES Rochelle is always right on the money! Well rochelle knows more than any MD

Well reason I mention that oyster thing is.. You never know now a days. It

seems ever since that incident, you havent been feeling well. You dont know, if

it is connected. And doctors may not know either. Gosh gees maybe there is a

bug in your system from that effecting your whole system. . Make ****sure*** you

mention that. Who the heck knows? maybe you ate red tide. Seems like you have an

At 18,Kristie Jo is still in one of the priority groups to receive the vaccine -

that age group ranges from 6 months to 24 years.

From what I understand, the first shipment was sent & each state Health

Department received a small amount of the vaccine. That was distributed

according to the plan developed in the state. (Did prisons in Texas actually

recieve it? That is appalling, in my opinion.) In land, for a physician's

office to received and be able to immunize their staff and provide it to the

public, they had to register with the state, let them know how many they were

interested in receiving and sign an agreement that was several pages long.

land has distributed their first shipment, and from what I understand the

amounts were very small. A second distribution is expected from the state

sometime next week. Much of the vaccine received went to public health sites -

and the lines have been very long from what I understand - with one Baltimore

County location closing hours early because they ran out.

Does this mean that not even the health care workers in Oregon are getting it

yet. I know that there is a big stink in Texas over the prison inmates getting

it before the general public. I wonder why some states are getting it and not

others. I had my injection two weeks ago. When the clinic got the injection and

flu mist in this week I asked for permission for my girls to get it and

permission was granted. I am not sure why they said yes to Kristie Jo since she

is 18 but they did. We are not a site for this to be given to the general

public. We only received 10 doses of the injectable vaccine and 50 doses of the

flumist. We will be out before the end of next week and we will not even

advertise.

Not yet, but he will be getting it through the group I work for - probably next

week, they registered with the state of land and received a small amount -

are currently vaccinating their front line staff, and the small amount left is

being made available to our kids. (Not everyone with kids in our company is

having their kids vaccinated) so the Clinical Director at each of our locations

is providing what is left to patients according to the recommendations of the

CDC. Since I work in our corporate office & rarely even go to the clinical

sites, I am not receiving it with this shipment - though when further shipments

arrive I will be able to get it, as I have a medical issue that puts me in the

priority group. We will see how all of that goes. I hope it becomes available

for n soon.

That is great news that he will be receiving it soon.

The three kids and myself have had the flu already. In August,

Tulane University was on the front page of the NY Times because they

were so hard hit by the swine flu. Of ALL of the universities in the

U.S. we could have sent our child to-we sent her to Tulane. Katelyn

quickly came down with it. She is an asthmatic. She did not go in

to get checked out. It quickly went to her lungs. She started on

her inhalers immediately. She ended up on high dose steroids for an

extended period of time to get it under control. And she did end up

at the doctor's office with breathing issues.

n caught it the following week-as soon as her college began. We

screamed at her to go into the health clinic. I emailed the clinic,

reminding them of her past history. Systemic and MAS. She walked

in, they confirmed it, gave her Tamiflu and quarantined her. The

Tamiflu was a Godsend.

got it next. 1/3 of his class was out for a week. Then I got

it from him. It went straight to my lungs, too. On an interesting

sidenote: my mother lives with us. I am her caretaker. She is

deaf. I have to scream into her left ear. So I was in her face all

of the time with this flu. She never got it. She was born in January

of 1916. (she is almost 94) I guess she must have been exposed to

the original 1918 swine flu and have immunity.

I worry about the 120 children in our support group. I view all of

those children as family and want desperately for them all to be

protected against it. That is why I am on pins and needles.

Hi, . Haven't seen you posting in a while and was wondering how you were

doing. I'm just getting through my email so perhaps you posted an update? Hope

you are feeling well. You know my son, like yours, won't even get a regular flu

shot either. Not sure what happens to these guys. I'm right there with you on my

knees, Michele

I thank you so much for your support and encouragement also. It is a wonderful

relationship you have with your daughter and i am sure that JRA has helped to

build that relationship to what it is. I know the time I spend with Jaye

is so very special. I get to spend time with her that I did not get to have with

my other children. The hours of sitting in the waiting room for one doctor or

another can never be counted. We use that time to talk and laugh and sometimes

even sing. The hours we spend in the car between here and KC going tfo her

appointments and back are numerous also. I have been so fortunate to have so

much of that time with my other daughter Kristie Jo also because she likes to go

to KC with us. She still does and is 19 now and in her second year of college.

When Kristie was still in highschool I allowed her to miss a full day of school

often so she could make the trip with us. She loves her sister and is a great

support for her so we are all three very close.

You commented that you had made a pact to always help the kids of Oregon and SW

Washington, but you help so many more. Because of your committment to your local

Arthritis group you help so many people across the globe. Just being on this

list you will never know the number of lives you have impacted. I know that you

have a very strong committment to the people on this list as well and I thank

you for it. As I think back I do not remember many posts prior to n having

MAS. I know I was on the list before that but the support, encouragement and

prayers you received from this list amazed me and had a huge impact on me. This

list has become a lifeline of support for me, it has become a family to me and

you and many others have made that possible.
