I remember with DS1 and DS2 that at this age we were still seeing the occasional signs of issues, but it wasn't until they were beyond 2 that it was clear that DS1 had problems and DS2 had had his resolve. > > Thanks everyone! > Sharon (, 16 months old, systemic) > >

Guest guest
Yes! And you should know that the slit lamp test is nothing - just looking at the eyes through a special instrument to count white blood cells as they pass by. Its much easier than the dilation. I'd be sure that the eye dr. is communicating with your pedi rheum too. They should be sharing reports back and forth, as well as with your regular pedi, so that everyone has the same information. Guest guest
I will definitely ask for the slit lamp test then when I see her - I imagine that she has that equipment. My optometrist has it so I bet the ped opth. has it (I know I've seen her do the refraction my other boys just haven't needed the slit lamp test done). And I will absolutely make sure she forwards his information over to our ped and the ped rheum. So far they've all been very good about sharing information (when we were also still under the care of the hem/oncs as well) and our ped is great - he really works to coordinate all of the doctors and information going back and forth. So glad to hear the slit lanmp test is easier than dilation - that one STINKS on the wee ones.
