Guest guest
Hi again, everyone! Sorry to bombard with questions today. We have an appointment for with our pediatric opthamalogist next week for, I guess what we can call, a preventative/initial screening. I am actually the one who instigated it (our ped rheum hasn't said anything about vision concerns yet). But our family has a history of eye issues (me - eye surgery twice for strabismus, DS1 - twice for strabis/amblimyopia, and MIL has issues as well but no surgery), and would have been screened at 2 anyways by our ped opth., so I figured I'd push up the exam. Is there anything specifically I should ask her about, other than filling her in on his JRA diagnosis and allowing her to take the lead on the examination? I remember with DS1 and DS2 that at this age we were still seeing the occasional signs of issues, but it wasn't until they were beyond 2 that it was clear that DS1 had problems and DS2 had had his resolve. Thanks everyone! Sharon (, 16 months old, systemic)
