Hey there, everyone!

Happy Tuesday to all. I hope that today is a happy, pain free day for all of us

and our little ones.

I have another few questions I wanted to send out there.

is currently on Prelone (1/2 tsp 2x a day), iron supplements (2x a day)

and Mtx (0.3mL 1x a week). A week and a few days ago (not this past weekend but

the weekend before) the whole family went to the zoo wtih grandma. Well, he got

a bad sunburn on his face (even with having been in the stroller). He takes

after my complexion (read absolutely no coloring... lol) and he got a worse burn

than his two brother (who just got a touch pink in the cheeks and the back of

the neck) who were walking in the sun the whole time. It's gradually clearing

up but even now, a week after the incident, he still has some pink patches.

Could the fact that he burned so quickly and is taking longer to clear out a

possible side effect of any of those medications? My sister (who is married to

a doc) seems to think it's likely but she doesn't know which one would have been

a culprit. I'm still wracked with guilt over it and his pink cheeks and

forehead is a constant reminder (yeah, the mommy guilt is bad on this one...

lol)

Also, how many of you are dealing with anemia with your child's JRA/your JRA?

is still very anemic, even with having been on some treatment since

December. I'm just wondering how common the anemia is and curious as to how

long it might take for that to start resolving itself - our rheum says that the

anemia is common with JRA.

Thanks all!

Cheers.

Sharon (, 17 months old, systemic)
