Guest guest
Hey , that is what this list is all about. We all learn and get information from each other's posts. My understanding is that anything above 13 indicates inflamation somewhere in the body. Our first rheumy said that 20 was not really anything to be concerned with, not sure about that as the ped was concerned with it. But we have not had any elevated rates to speak of since the beginning of our road down this path. Veri & Jaye 17 poly Re: Need Help with Lab tests results I have a question about this sed rate if anyone can answer it... I see the range for the rate is 0-13... is that the gauge they use for sed rates for all? I recently had my daughter in the hospital, and I asked the pedi there to test her for all the testing she needs for psoriatic arthritis. Her number was 25. It doesn't show a range. If that is the case I will call her ped rheumy back and talk with her about it..... I hate to call her now because I don't know the range and I want to know what I am talking about before hand. That is not the only test, the RA was negative.... Sorry , I didn't mean to horn in, you asked a great question and I never got a chance to ask it myself... > > Hi Everyone! > here again about Kaylee. Just got an email with access to Kaylee's lab results done last Tuesday. Most were in the normal ranges, but the following were not. I do not know how to read the labs unfortunately. I have asked for someone to teach me, but it hasn't happened. So with all the pros here, I need some help if possible. > The following are what I need to know about: > Segmented Neutrophil- Kaylee, 72 ramge (39-65) > > Lymphocyte- Kaylee, 23 range (27-50) > > Hematocrit- Kaylee, .33 range (.35-.45) > > SED rate- Kaylee, 29 range (0-13) > > I know I should know this stuff by now, but haven't been taught and don't know where to look to learn. I'd appreciate some help and if there is a site or someway for me to learn how to read the labs I would appreciate that information. > > Kaylee is also extremely tired; has slept most of the day and has no interest in doing anything. I did manage to get her out of the house for about an hour to get a pedicure and a bite to eat. I am real concerned about her. I plan to take her to her Ped in the am if she is not better. > Thanks for all the support and the helpful information on the Remicade situation. I will be making a decision no later than tomorrow so Duke can schedule her first unfusion to be done next Tuesday after her joint injections and then will be set up to be done closer to home if everything goes well. > Thanks to all of you for everything! > > and Kaylee >
Guest guest
My daughter had a sed rate of 21 and she was in flare, She had a low red of 6 prior too. Her highest read was 39 no flare at all. I think it helps but my Rheumy checked her joints that was the main test for me. Terri B Re: Need Help with Lab tests results I have a question about this sed rate if anyone can answer it...
