The goal is to keep the labs in the normal range as you drop the steroids. If

the labs get worse, then that probably means that the mtx isn't going to work on

its own. You might have to add a biological. Every single child is different.

Getting off of steroids is half art and half science in the systemics. And

remember as you taper, it is not the amount, but the percentage you are

dropping. That is why it can get harder and harder to drop as you get low.
