Guest guest
Unless I'm reading something incorrectly it looks like everything is normal! Was anything marked high/low? How has been doing? I hope he's doing really well. nn (, systemic, 10) > > Hi everyone. > > Happy Friday to all. > > I was wondering if y'all could help me decode 's most recent labs. Guest guest
Hi nn! Let's see, the Iron was marked low (reference range of 50-175) but I thought our rheumy said last time that that's an adult range and not a pediatric range. His HGB and HCT were also marked as low, but not by much ( I realize I should have put the ranges in it). I was actually pleased to see that the CRP had come down some (wish I had the previous labs here). But I didn't want to get hopeful that they were close to normal without having some more experienced eyes looking at it. I'm hopeful this means that the steroids and mtx are doing their thing. I guess the next interesting one will be to see what next month shows, since that will be with the first reduction in the steroid dosage. Guest guest
That's good stuff Sharon, and I hope it keeps being good as you taper the steroid! I remember the first time 's labs were so close to normal, after a year of terrible numbers. I felt like framing the results and hanging them on the wall, I just couldn't stop looking at them and being thankful. nn > > > > > > Hi everyone. > > > > > > Happy Friday to all. > > > > > > I was wondering if y'all could help me decode 's most recent labs. Guest guest
Thanks so much, ladies! I really appreciate it. I'm tempted to frame them, nn! I think I'd definitely do that if the next ones show that the steroid reductions are going well too. Out of curiosity, those who have gone through this process - did you see a decline in the numbers as you started dropping the steroids or was the mtx enough to keep things held steady? will have his next appointment in about three weeks so we still have a bit of a wait on our hands. > > > > > > > > Hi everyone. > > > > > > > > Happy Friday to all. > > > > > > > > I was wondering if y'all could help me decode 's most recent labs.
