Guest guest
So we had our rhuemy apt yesterday. Good news is arthritis is finally coming under control. Yeah! MRI was perfect, labs are perfect, and 1/2 the time seems perfect. The other 1/2 not so good. Dr. feels she has developed a pain syndrome. Thankful that it isn't something worse although she will continue to watch carefully. We already know she is in tremendous pain and now we will try to find a way to alleviate it. Pt, swimming, TENS machine, deep tissue massage, sleeping meds (starting with Melatonin). I also intend to throw in Reiki and Hypnotherapy. Hopefully with time and these therapies she can re-train her brain and nervous system not to over-react to pain. Thanks to those who shared their stories. You were bothright our kids are going thru similar things. Any tips from those that have dealt with this are more than welcome!! Thank you, Kirsten, mom to , 6, spondy & now " Pain Syndrome "
