Hi everyone!

I hope that all is well with y'all today.

Tomorrow has his next appointment with the ped. rheum. This will be the

first follow-up since he's stared his mtx regime. I have a list of questions

and/or discussion topics to bring to him but I wanted to see if y'all see

anything that I've missed or anything else I should bring up with him.

* Discuss the appointment we had with the ped. opthamol. last week and see how

often he wants us to be monitored by her

* Discuss 's apparent sun sensitivity (after the sunburn incident) and see

what he thinks we need to do as far as outside guidelines for daycare (other

than sunscreen - what spf - and hats)

* Discuss 's flushing incidents. Caused by the meds? Is it a new symptom,

etc.

* 1 fever incident since our last checkup. Last Friday had a highly

flushed cheek (one side only) and ran a fever of around 101.8 for the evening.

By Saturday am it was gone.

* Discuss the " moon face " he's gotten since being on the steroids

* What is the plan for reduction in his steroid dosage?

* Is the ~300mg of Folic Acid he's getting from is Flintstones My First Vitamin

adequate or should we get the liquid FA and up the dosage?

I haven't talked with him yet about the flushing incidents has had. It's

weird - there are times I would swear he got sunburned again when picking him up

from daycare but it's just a flush that creeps up his face and head. It's

happened even on days when he doesn't go outside. We can't tell if it's just

when he gets warm or during activity, but we've definitely noticed something.

Dr. Google has mentioned in a few places that facial flushing can be a side

effect of the Prelone but I also know that Dr. Google isn't always accurate...

;) So I want to talk that over with him.

Is there anything else that y'all think I should bring up with him? I know it's

a somewhat vague question to pose.

Thanks and hugs to all.

Sharon (, 17 months old, systemic)
