Guest guest
I have been having an awful flare. All week it's been a marathon of pain all day, all night, with swelling. I will go to bed at 8 wake up at 2 be in pain and unable to sleep until 5 or 6. I won't wake up the next day until 4 pm. We called the doctor on call. I had been taking tramadol for pain, but the later it got in the week, the less the tramadol worked. The doctor told me to take Tylenol, which we had been doing!!! After we told him we had done everything in our power, he told us that I shouldn't be I'm this much pain and that it jut CANT be arthritis. He then told us to call my pain management doctor then give him a call back. She wasn't available until Monday, so we ended up calling a nurse at the hospital for her opinion. So then after we talked on the phone with her she told us that it makes complete and total sense and that she had seen kids with arthritis who had very remarkable pain. She told us to call him back and demand for Something, anything. We'll of course we expected prednisone, but instead he called in hydrocodone. I mean it gets rid of the pain, but I still don't feel good and I am still swollen. It only takes care of the pain, but nothing else. All week the right side of my throat has hurt, but I thought nothing of it because it seemed to get better as the day went on and I drank more water. It it got worse so we went to an urgent care and she said I have tonsillitis. I am also on a z pack now for that. But I was wondering if my flare could have anything to do with it. Could it really be my neck swollen? We also got news that we might be moving to Pensacola Florida we know there is a ped. Rhuemy there. Does anyone go to that doctor? I know the hospital is called sacred heart children's Any advice is appreciated Thank you Shea Reasoner Sent from my iPad
