Guest guest
Hi everyone I found some more info on this worm. IF you opened the email or think ir may have gotten in your computer. Go to Symantec.com and look for the newest virus threat called Yammers. It says some other stuff with it too but you will see that in the virus name. Symantec has several things it advises you to do to protect yourself if you think you got this worm in your email. One is run virus scan, make sure you have the latest updates on it. Two they suggest you turn of your sysmtem restore on your computer while you are cleaning it out as viruses can possibly hide in here. After you are done it tells you how to turn this back on. It goes thru allt the steps you need to take at this site. I'd advise you go check this out if you think the worm hit your mailbox. HOpe this helps, also the article I posted the link for previously for some reason is not working but it does go to the right place. Just put in mail worm in the search and it will bring up several articles for you to read about it. Thats all I can find out for now hope this ends soon. Best wishes to all for as painfree day as possible. Sharon Group Owner
Guest guest
Here is further information on this worm: http://www.f-secure.com/weblog/ - scroll down to read June 12, 2006 entry. It's a short report and explains it well. This is a new variety - it is not an attachment but is inside the email itself so just opening the email will mean infection.
