Guest guest
I see the new version is on http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=OIV2JV7hmpo The old address says video removed by user. It's far more blurred than I expected it to be. Higher quality would make a bigger file, but perhaps it needs that. Windows movie maker offers three grades of web film; I saved on the middle quality but it told me saving had failed. I might need to try again, possibly using the highest quality, but that is said to be for the fastest kind of broadband. I supposed it had failed because I was not actually then sending it to a website. Anyway, get your screen as small as possible to see it less blurred. Although it is a silent movie, there is suddenly sound on the wet scene, so don't think your roof has suddenly started leaking if you have the speakers on. Guest guest
How do you get the screen smaller? If I shrink my whole window screen (the tab in firefox) the movie stays the same size. But I don't see any way to make the movie itself smaller. It is blurry, though you can see what it is about. But I already know what to expect. It would be best to have it as clear as possible for someone who has never seen one made before. Guest guest
Well, say you were to download the video to your computer to play whenever. Your player might automatically select full screen, which would be very blotty. You would need to click on the icon for small screen, and probably grab the edges to make it even smaller. Probably another thing I ought to do is sign up with one of these file download sites and put the big version there for people to download if they want to. I might wait to see if there is more editing to do, try to get it right, then make the " big " version. By which time bG will probably have shot the movie with soundtrack and dancing girls. Guest guest
This file is very small, so maybe highest quality would be fine. I think with static images there's a small total file size. It is much smaller than moving images. bG > > I see the new version is on http://au.youtube.com/watch? v=OIV2JV7hmpo > The old address says video removed by user. > It's far more blurred than I expected it to be. > Higher quality would make a bigger file, but perhaps it needs that. > Windows movie maker offers three grades of web film; I saved on the middle quality but it told me saving had failed. Guest guest
No, no--he has to use dancing boys. :-) Um, I have never been able to figure out how to download any of the Google or youtube videos and get them to play. I guess my computer is set to some default so that it automatically opens up to see the video, but there's no option to download. Someone told me they had Real Player to watch youtube, and a right click option was to download it to their computer. When I right click, I don't have any option other than to see the source code. So my computer must not use Real Player. But it also doesn't say Windows Media Player, either. I'm a dunce when it comes to this sort of stuff. I just open YouTube or Google and the video comes on. Sigh There have been many videos I'd have loved to download to keep, but I just can't figure out how. When I did figure out a way, once, to download a youtube video, it downloaded fine, but wouldn't open with any player I had. Someone told me I had to change the extension, but I didn't know what to change it to. How sad, huh? Lol Samala, -------Original Message------- Well, say you were to download the video to your computer to play whenever.
Guest guest
Hi Gaiacita, Youtube videos you can't download from youtube but Google videos sometimes you can. What you can do with youtube videos is go to this website http://www.videodownloadx.com/ you paste the youtube video url in there and they convert it to a downloadable file and send you an email with the link to download it. works with google videos too for ones that don't already have a download link. Take care, V > No, no--he has to use dancing boys. :-) > Um, I have never been able to figure out how to download any of the Google > or youtube videos and get them to play. Guest guest
Wow V, thanks! I had no idea something like this existed. I use zamzar for converting all other files--works almost the same. I can upload a word document and tell it to convert to PDF or something, and in 24 hours (usually much less) they send me a link to download the new file. But I didn't know this could be done with video. I'll try it. Samala, -------Original Message------- Youtube videos you can't download from youtube but Google videos sometimes you can.
