Guest guest
Because this is not an accepted idea. A skeptic is one who questions accepted ideas. To reject this out of " skepticism " is to give this a status it does not have or yet deserve: that of an accepted idea. Rommel once said, " Mortal danger is an effective antidote for fixed ideas. " In a small sense we see this playing out with our devices. People who have pain or illness, a mortal danger you face with an infection, can suspend your fixed ideas. You grab the device and you test it, finally. The sport of " thinking " is over. You stop wondering " if this works why isn't it in the media? " Once the danger is over, you have time to return to such thoughts. Once the memory of the pain is gone, you probably will return to whatever fixed idea you had beforehand. bG
