Guest guest
Just when we thought designing was over, finally, here we go again. I wondered if we might make a device without a lantern battery. It seems that AA's AAA's and C, D, etc are all over the world, but lantern batteries are not. So...not to be stumped, last night a friend and I worked up a new design that uses: 1. two AA, AAA, C, or D batteries 2. One piece of wire (do not need two wires for this) 3. Sponges or damp cloths can be used 4. 8 rubber bands This device will be photographed today. It uses 3 volts instead of 6 volts. Is that still workable? Yes, 3 volts is within the sweet spot. We have no worries there. It will be good for a variety of uses, and will be much easier to make than even the last design. I do not see many limits to its use, other than instead of 10 minutes, use it for 12 or 15 maybe. It will still do a great job, while being kinder and gentler. Making the device only requires stripping one wire on each end (strip 2 ends instead of 4) and the rest is just stretching rubber bands around the batteries and sponges. It can be held in two hands without any dangling battery. The batteries are attached directly to each of the sponges or cloths. It is extremely compact and lightweight, too. It will be much nicer to your facial skin. It should work on other body areas as well. Standard Godzilla, can be used for several people at one time if you make extra wire-sponge sets, but this device it limited to one user at a time. But it can be made easily from almost any two single-cell batteries, that is the benefit of it. The reduction of the device to the minimal challenge is the key to success worldwide. Our group willingly builds things since we already know it is worth it. Others may not be willing to invest more than a few minutes trying it. This new device will answer that need. ly I think this new one will replace all the others, but we have to test it a bit. We are also free from the need for bigger sponges with this design, as well, it can be much smaller sized. The Standard Godzilla's will do it all and in record short time of application to germs, so that is still valuable, and probably always will be. But this one, honestly if you had just one short bit of wire in your room, you could take two washcloths, your camera or flashlight batteries, some rubber bands, and treat yourself for almost anything. When done you could just put the batteries back and pocket the wire and rubber bands, and have no record of any device around--at all. bG
