Guest guest
To me that sounds like good thinking, BG! It is now known that various 'parasites' impact behaviors to an extreme degree in some species. Seems likely to me that this is true for humans too. Some grasshoppers (I think it was a grasshopper) will deliberately plunge into water when it is playing host to some parasite. It will take the plunge when the parasite reaches a life stage that requires water for further development. This kills the 'hopper, but is oh so good for the parasite. And a certain parasite will cause dragonflies to gain excess weight in odd places so it can no longer fly and this kills the dragonfly. Some have theorized that obese humans may be parasitized and this may be part of what is behind the weight gains so prevalent. We don't tend to think of attitudes having much to do with structure or chemistry, but of course it does. We know that but somehow overlook it. Odd behavior--hmmm--think I'll do a parasite cleanse right away. pj
