Guest guest
If a person has uncontrolled diabetes or high blood pressure (which often go together) they often get retinal pigmentosa (sp), which as I understand it is leaking blood vessels in the eyes. I had it when my blood pressure spiked up some years ago. In this case I don't think it would be wise to use microcurrent around the eyes, because it does increase circulation, which is usually a good thing with regard to healing, but in this case could cause more leaking in the retina. Mine are not leaking anymore. They found out by taking pictures of the blood vessels in my retinas and comparing it with pictures taken after a year. I also have cataracts that dim the eyesight over time, but I am 80 and can just turn up the light, so won't let them do surgery until I am 98, if I still need it. I am curious though about treating the cataracts with microcurrent below 300uA, by putting the sponges on both sides of my eyes by the temples. I have tried it a few times, but not regularly. If things brighten up I'll let you know. Dick
Guest guest
Interesting, thanks, Dick. This person is on a lot of strong meds and it could be consuming vitamins, or other resources needed by the macula. I also can't help thinking that drinking more than 2 glasses of wine could be constricting small blood vessels? but then there are blood thinners so that might be ok. we'll see.
