Guest guest
there were times people thought this actually accelerated infections. it probably causes local dieoffs that make the blisters look worse for awhile. one herpes report trailed off and didn't followup so we don't know if it came out allright or what. the only studies with cold sores showed most/all sores when caught early did not develop. that means the virus went inert. if it's already active and replicated out to millions of virus the sore may still be small. but when in a day or two it starts to dieoff, the sore could get larger due to toxins from the dieoffs. that is just something we as non-clinical, non-medical people will have to allow for. it's not as simple as a straightforward clearing up. sometimes it is, other times not so. the long-term result over days and weeks is what to watch. bG
