Guest guest
These two oils will aid in the healing of an already erupted sore. (lemon balm) essential oil is beneficial for reducing or preventing eruption. Guest guest
Hi all, Please correct me if I " m wrong, but the Bergamot EO being referred to for use with cold sores is NOT Beebalm, Oswego Tea, OR . True bergamot is not even related to any of those, and is not related to beebalm or oswego tea. So I doubt you'd get the same results using those as true Bergamot (and I don't think EOs of those exist either.) Marge, can you back me up? Guest guest
Saul, What if you ozonate the shoes and socks, could you prevent having to throw them out?
Guest guest
Dear , Cold sores are herpes simplex I. They are nasty viruses. They hide at the base of the spine when they are not causing an outbreak. When your immune system drops a bit below par, such as during times of stress, they emerge from under their rock and set up shop on a mucous membrane. During an outbreak, it is contagious. Ozonated olive oil on the lip during a breakout speeds up the healing. The way to get rid of them is to funnel at the base of the spine with ozone daily for three months. I know that is a very long time, but they are very persistent. You must be at least as persistent to kill the virus. Suppressing them consists of taking lysine capsules. At the first sign of an outbreak, take 2 lysine capsules, and then take 2 more every two hours that you are awake. The lesion will not form, and in two to three days, they will retreat to their hiding spot. Taking an occasional lysine capsule, say once a week, will discourage them from popping out. And, keep up your B vitamins, which are depleted during stress, and allow them to emerge. Athlete's foot is a fungus that is cyclic as well. Soaking in H2O2 is a good method of dealing with it. If you keep it up for a few days after it has gone away, while simultaneously throwing away the socks AND SHOES you were wearing when it came on, you can get rid of it. If not, you will reinfect from the socks or shoes, and it will flare up again when you are a bit subpar. Best of Health! Dr. Saul Pressman, DCh, LOH cold sores > > Cold Sore. Guest guest
Dear , It is usually stress that triggers the outbreak. When you have an outbreak treat the lesion topically with ozone without breathing it: not an easy thing to do if the lesion is on the lip. You can make a small cup to place over the lesion & have one hole to infuse ozone & another hole to get rid of the excess ozone through a sucker motor such as a vacuum cleaner or make a suction device from a 40mm computer fan on the end of a swimming pool hose. And as Saul says cupping of the base of the spine is indicated. Regards, Noel. Prof. Noel P O Box 137 Parkville VIC 3052 Australia Phone 61 03 9639 6090 Fax 61 03 9639 6392 Email noelc@... Latley they have been on my cheek by my mouth? They start out as a pimple and before I know it it is a cold sore. When I was little I would mainly get them when I was out in the sun all day. Guest guest
I've use grapefruit seed extract when I've had mouth ulcers - as a mouth rinse, and I've also occasionally used it internally. Hard to tell for sure if it worked, but was trying to fight off a cold and I've taken it for candida and I believe it helped. It appears to have also helped one member of the family who has an aggressive case of dandruff, so it seems to be antifungal too. I have read claims that it is antimicrobial, antifungal, antiparasitic and antiviral, but can't find anything very conclusive on Medline about it. This is a sales website, BUT they list these organisations as having done research on grapefruit seed extract. http://home.att.net/~mirage7/researchandsafety1.htm Pasture Institute in Paris France University of Georgia at Athens Southern Research Institute, Brigham Young University in Utah Northview Pacific Laboratories Bio-Research Laboratories in Redmond Washington It would be interesting to find out if they have done research on GFSE, and if so, what they have concluded. Sure would be nice to have another tool handy for dealing with HHV6, etc. Laurie
Guest guest
I have used chewable acidophilus pills for mouth ulcers. I chew them up just before I fall asleep at night. Before I found this remedy, several years ago, I had constant mouth ulcers. This even worked for my disbelieving Son, who now buys them at the drugstore to keep his mouth ulcers at bay. Guest guest
I know that when I've gotten cold sores it's usually an indication that my diet is inbalanced. For other people it's different. If I take extra zinc, C, the l-lysine like said (it does work)it will help to kick the problem. Also, when you have a cold sore or cancer sore I usually keep my lips moist all the time or the sore moist all the time. If it gets dry it takes longer to heal. I have generally used medicated ointment by Rawleigh's. It would be equal to Vics (or is it Vix?) ointment. You know, the menthal stuff! Goodness, I just can't seem to think today! Guest guest
Cold sores are viral and flare up from imbalance, usually food and/or stress. Definitely l-lysine and Vit C. For cold sores and canker sores I find that using an epsom salts compress 2 x a day, as soon as you feel the tingle sometimes stops it in it's tracks. For cold sores, I have heard using euclyptus oil or tea tree oil might so the same thing. Guest guest
My cold sore/fever blister problem has almost completely gone away since I started ER4YT. The couple of incidents I have had were extremely minor. I am pretty strict in my compliance to the food lists and fairly compliant to the frequency recommendations. I have also taken some supplements while on the diet that may have helped with the problem. For instance, Bladderwrack may help as Dr. D'Adamo mentions in the following article: http://www.dadamo.com/napharm/store3/template2/fucus.htm I take bladderwrack everyday. I have also focused on supplements that helped for stress and the adrenal glands. Dr. D'Adamo also has an article about natural killer (NK) cells and their importance. Herpes is talked about in the article. The reason I mention this is I read an article in yesterday's newspaper that presented the findings of a study that found that long-term immune function decreases in proportion to how many times a woman has intentionally lost weight, based on measured natural killer cell activity in the woman's blood. I think the bottom line was that the longer your weight is maintained at a fairly stable level the higher your NK cell level is likely to be. Guest guest
I read this and have used it with success although it would be hard for a person with an active job. Just hold an ice cube wrapped in a napkin on the tingle as soon as it is noticeable. I used to have my homeschooled children do this as they did their lessons and it always worked to completely stop the sore from forming. It needs to be there an hour or more. Guest guest
Try taking a supplement called lysine. It should be available at any drugstore or possibly even at your local Target or Wal-Mart. Don't pay the outrageous GNC prices for it. My mother and sister both suffer from long-lasting (2 weeks generally from start to full healing) cold sores or mouth infections, but when they take lysine the problems clear up within 48 hours. I recommended the stuff to my ex-bf, too, and he got the same quick results. Maggie
