Guest guest
It should be noted: these complex units are not any " better " and the decision to include more people by simplifying the devices down to the level of a 6 year old for the sake of Mom's in a hurry who need the kids to build them, was not made at the sacrifice of any of the effectiveness. I recently added a meter option that also could be added by this same 6 year old. It gives you something to play with while you get well, and it shows you more of what's going on. enjoy, love, bG > > in the past we had a lot more technical units, with doodads and things to make them both easier to use longterm, and much harder to build. > > I chose to put the complex stuff onto: 2 group. same format. > > bG >
Guest guest
IF 6 year old kids can build the auto-godzilla, then that confirms that I'm dump as a box of rocks..:-} I went over to an electronic shop and talk with the tech. there about how I could build an auto device instead of using the manual reverse switch, and he mentioned that maybe some kind of clock timer might be custom designed to do the switching every minute or so, but otherwise, I'd be looking at somewhere around 3 hours or more of his time to figure out some kind of circuit board to do the job. I guess it's not really that simple of a task and I can understand why this is a subject for the bright minds of tech.'s over on the 2 group page. > > > > in the past we had a lot more technical units, with doodads and things to make them both easier to use longterm, and much harder to build. > > > > I chose to put the complex stuff onto: 2 group. same format. > > > > bG > > >
Guest guest
no, 6 yr olds can't build the auto-unit. they can build the simple godzilla metered one here. the auto-unit is some days of work for average person, and hours for experienced people. that's why this group, so people can actually do this. the auto unit is also fairly unreliable in the sense it has dozens of connections that can fail as you move it around. in practical terms you would use any of these devices not longer than about 20-30 minutes at a time anyway. the auto units were popular when folks thought they wanted hours of usage in one session. but later became known the shorter sessions more often were better. bG > > > > > > in the past we had a lot more technical units, with doodads and things to make them both easier to use longterm, and much harder to build. > > > > > > I chose to put the complex stuff onto: 2 group. same format. > > > > > > bG > > > > > >
