Guest guest
bG, I just re-bought the Radio Shack digital multimeter. It doesn't have numbers but painted icons. On the right is the battery section. There's a 1.5v section and then an icon of a battery with 9v on it. Should I put it at the 9v level? Thank you
Guest guest
you need to measure fractions of a milliamp, not volts. Not sure how this meter looks so cannot tell you how to set it up. check instructions to find how to measure small amounts of dc current, less than 10 milliamps. If the meter does not measure milliamps, only volts, you need to take it back again, sorry. generally I buy 3 and one or two works. In store, I set it to " continuity check " and touch leads together, that should go to zero. Usually means the meter is ok. bG
Guest guest
bG, I just got off the phone with Radio Shack and they told me there's a section labeled mA/A (milliamps/amps). Thanks for clarifying what I'm looking for. May 12, 2011 05:29:03 PM, wrote: you need to measure fractions of a milliamp, not volts.
