Guest guest
Hi Terra my name is Please don't be sorry about discussing the " waddling " ; I'm new to the internet, to LPA, etc, and reading all the e-mails concerning waddling has helped me a great deal. I'm an achon, age 54, and I've always suspected I have one leg shorter than the other, however, I never asked the doctors anything about it and they never offered any advise.( I have a doc appt on Tuesday and we will be discussing it) At age 11, I underwent the leg surgery and at age 38, I had the laminectomy and fusion on all of the lumbar vertebrae. Other than those two doctors, no doctor has ever discussed my being an achron dwarf. (In fact my new friend of two years knows more about me than I do. She has a beautiful 5 year old little girl who is also an achon and she has done some extensive studying on the subject.) Even after the surgery (and as I got older and gained additional weight) I often (especially when I'm very tired) experienced considerable pain in my lower left back area that sometimes seemed to creep down into my hip and leg....that's also the leg I feel is shorter than the other (and that would explain the symptoms)....I've been to a regional LPA meeting and also a couple of other parties, other than those meetings and my new friends I've made in the last two years, I never had the opportunity to meet & greet any other Little People except one girl from my home town. Unfortunately we were never good friends. Now I'm getting off on another subject that was discussed extensively tonight (for which I'm also greatful) and that is how Little People perceive or accept communication with other Little People. At the first LPA event I attended, which was a regional, when I saw all the other Little People, I couldn't help but stare as I gazed around the room at all the other people just like me. As I met some and got to know them, I started hopping from table to table meeting everybody I could, I wanted to hug everybody because I realized they've probably all experienced the same things I've experienced growing up. But then my bubble was burst when one of the other LP ladies asked me how tall I was, and when I answered, she told me how tall she was (and I hadn't even asked); she was one inch taller than me. I believe that a person's " net worth " is what we are made of inside our hearts and our brains. It doesn't matter whether we are short or tall, thin or fat, male or female, young or old, able or disable, what matters is what we contribute to our families and society from the inside that measures our worth. Terra, I'm so very glad you brought up the subject of waddling, cause I waddle too. This has been a story of " A Little Bit About Myself " . If there are other ladies out there in my age category who are also " like me " ; I consider my self (1) A child of the King, saved by Grace and going to heaven (2) a wife, mother & grandmother (3) a female dwarf with achondroplasia, please correspond back. Especially if you can tell my what (if anything astronomical) I can expect to experience as I approach sixty something. Thanks for listenin'. Guest guest
No problem - I switched you to web read only till I had seen that you had fixed it. I will switch you back to digest. YOu may have missed yesterdays messages nad can read on the web board vaccinations At 10:36 PM 04/30/2001 -0400, you wrote: >To all the groups I am on - > >Sorry for the virus - I did not know I had it. It got into my email program and automatically created a response to any unopened messages in my inbox and forwarded them on with the attachment. This is how I got it, I was in a discussion with someone and thought she had sent me information regarding the subject. The only way I found out was I had sent myself something from work and kept getting tons of emails from myself and couldn't figure out why. I spent 4 1/2 hours with McAfee and had trouble downloading the software, and ended up buying Norton, which fixed it. Guest guest
They definitely aren't the greatest source, but you can find lowfat versions of the mozzarella with 8 grams of protein and 2.5 grams of fat; which overall is only 32 cals of protein and 25 cals of fat so not much more protein than fat. What I do is combine it with hardboiled egg/egg whites and a carb if I'm on the run. But remember, doesn't store any attachments on the web site any more, so the only people who can get them are those on Individual mail and download mail to their email program's in-box on their computers. People on no-mail and Digest will never see any attachments, fancy fonts, or stationery.

Guest guest
WOW , I checked out your page and you are very beautiful. Tracie sorry! If anyone has emailed me and I haven't responded, I'm so sorry! My Internet connection is very unreliable, so I often lose it before I can respond to a email (you have to be online when you're doing that). Here, I can download mail and then read and respond to it offline (my group mails are sent to my Eudora account).By the way, my Obesityhelp.com profile page has really detailed information about my immediate post op experience. It's a long read, but I didn't leave anything out. :-)http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/profile.phtml?N=B1101526725------------------ in Jamaica Lap RNY Feb 5, 2005 243/205/150------------------

Guest guest
Hello again, Sorry, I should have read the technical and safety advise posts first, instead of jumping in and asking questions about where to put the electrodes..the safety advise has thrown up some new concerns though. I'm a bit worried about how near to the vagina (sorry to be so graphic) it is safe to put the electrodes. This is where the outbreaks occur for me. I understand that the moist skin is more conductive. Even if the skin is dry, it is more sensitive than other parts, is this a problem? I'm a bit freaked out by the possibility of becoming incontinent! Thanks for your help VJ
Guest guest
No problem, thanks for asking. Moist will carry a bit more current, so don't use the baking soda trick to bump up the current. Use plain water to wet the cloth electrodes. Pay attention to the skin by feel and by inspection to see if any additional redness or problems. You should have no issues finding out what's ok and what is too much. The right amount of current can just barely be felt, but does not irritate skin. The vaginal area has been tested by doctors who patented an electrical birth control battery that causes sperm to fail to fertilize the egg somehow. The patent also notes the fact that the area remains fresh and free of bacteria. How this never got done, who knows, being a miracle, but that's that. It exists, is patented, and is not available. Use the device for about 10-20 minutes the first time and check it. Reverse the electrode positions about every 5 minutes. Repeat every few hours or two or three times a day, till it is well on the mend. At that point, reduce to maybe 5 minutes am, 5 min pm till gone. Check to see if it comes back and let us know each change. Also let us know several months later if any recurrences, whatever. We are close to having enough herpes testers to really nail herpes, in other words a known-cure without any side effects, and not just another endless treatment with side effects. Besta luck, but you should not need luck bG > > Hello again, > Sorry, I should have read the technical and safety advise posts first, instead of jumping in and asking questions about where to put the electrodes..the safety advise has thrown up some new concerns though.
