Guest guest
I'll try to explain what I have recently done using a six volt battery . One electrode about 3 inches long and larger in dia. than a pencil is grasped in one hand. The one that goes onto the gum is only a bit of cotton maybe the size of a bean. I cut off the finger of a rubber glove (dish washing type) and with that on a finger or thumb I hold the small cotton electrode against the gum in the exact spot that I wish. The advantage being that no current is lost thru the cheek but goes directly into the gum and thru the body out the hand. Using a meter I determined that the amperes range from .21 to .24 milliamperes which I understand is just about correct. I no longer use the meter since my body seems to have the right resistance. I guess a larger hand electrode would increase the amperage slightly but I've only just started with this method and haven't experimented yet. Don't know how body weight would affect the amperage I weigh about 185. Ron > > Neophyte here. Would appreciate help with a couple of questions. I have heavy plaque and need root planing. Would very much appreciate detailed into on the use of the toothbrush based device seen in the photo section. I mean one toothbrush on the inside of the cheek on each side and then switched? If one has a problematical tooth, can one put one toothbrush inside the cheek next to that tooth and then the other toothbrush on the inside of the tooth next to the tongue? I notice some are using 3 volts or 4.5 volts. What makes for the use of lesser voltage? Other than discomfort, is there danger from use of 6 volts. I am thinking that I will use electro therapy for several month before subjecting myself to root planing. Thanks much for a great group. >

Guest guest
Neophyte here again. Electrode that is 3 inches long and thicker than a pencil? when I look at the photos of the denal godzilla, all I see is wire. Did miss something? And only one touches the gums? And the other is held by the hand (not inside the mouth or next to the cheek)? And straight 6 volts without cutting it down in any way? Thanks > > > > > > Neophyte here. Guest guest
yeah the dental godzilla is a bit of overkill and is well for those times on the road in the motel, etc. the sponges model you put on the cheeks and uses the meter will do same job only nicer... an englishman and I worked on the toothbrushes type dental godzilla, so if you have really awful dental condition, start with that maybe but it's not really needed if you are serious planning and building your dental future..for emergencies, sudden abcesses, etc. bG > > > > > > > > Neophyte here. Guest guest
Electrodes can be made any size by using sponges or cotton or the like. Ron > > > > > > > > Neophyte here.
