I haven't had this problem, but when I do cough and if it's just right after

eating. It will make me vomit and it's not pretty. Are you getting enough water

during the day? So you've been banded for 3 years now, have you had any really

big issues with your band?

Subject: dry cough

Banded 4/9/07. Anyone out there developing or had a dry cough at night? I tend

to think that any problems I have are related to the band...maybe so maybe

not??? I am not a smoker, no GERD, etc., but this dry cough is waking me up

several times each night and I am a wreck from loss of sleep. My internist had

several ideas and has prescribed a couple of RX's but so far no relief.

Thoughts? TX.

  • 9 months later...

I've had the same problem during the winter months for years, until now.

Having used the basic Godzilla approach, as shown in the files, to successfully fight chronic sinus infection so far this season, I decided to modify that a little to address the problem you describe.

All other factors being left the same, I purchased another sponge but cut it in two lengthwise this time, leaving me with 2 long slender electrodes. These I then place on either side of my neck and secure with an elastic band.

My setup includes alligator clips at the ends of the wires, so I can hold the electrodes in place for the duration and just switch terminals every 5 minutes of so. I'm sure that others must be using this method as well, because I'm not that creative.

Anyhow, that procedure is helping me with the throat issue you describe. I hope it can be of use to you too.

Best Wishes,

-Bob
