Guest guest
Perhaps there is not as much wrong with you as you have been led to believe. Sometimes psychiatrists and psychologists tell us we are abnormal. There is no such thing, in my mind, as normal or abnormal. Only common and uncommon. Try to delight in who you are. Try to accept who you are. Tom Administrator Hello Nick. No it is not pride. I need advice and/or direct help, such as placement. But the advice or placements would not be appropriate unless my situation was properly understood. But just the feeling of being misunderstood is very lonely. Guest guest
Hi Zylon, I have been trying to get some help and support where I live (England) and I have been trying to get the correct/appropriate help and support - easier said than done :-( I understand the areas I have difficulties in and where I need help, but trying to get this across to others and access the help is proving almost impossible, but I haven't completely given up yet. > > > Hello Nick. > No it is not pride. They were nice buildings, but that's as far as that goes. What did arouse anger was that they were attacked at all, and because the attack was aimed at the whole country, not just those buildings. 9/11 was about the 4th attack on the buildings since the 1990s, attacks that had gone unanswered and thus encouraged the terrorists to do 9/11. At any rate, we got very lucky. An hour later and there would have been some 20,000 people in those buildings and the death toll would have been much higher than it was. Of course corporations are cash driven and not concerned about life. That is what they are: revenue generators. I'm not saying that corporations should treat their employees brutally or destroy the environment, but their main consideration is profit. There is this new idea that corporations should now act like mini welfare states and given lots of money to charity. That's a bad idea. Corporations should not be involved in charity because their money belongs to the investors, not the corporation, unless it is privately and/or family owned. If the board members, CEO and individual investors wish to give to charity, that is fine because the do it with their own money, but the corporation itself should not have to give money at all. My feelings are not sactioned by the court of Nt and so I cannot love whom I love. There is a movie; The last unicorn. The hero loves a Unicorn that has been turned into a human girl. He is told she is really a Unicorn. He says ; " no Name you could give her suprises me, Socceress, fairy, etc I love whom I love " But she will not love you when she is a Unicorn again, and he restates " I love whom I love " That was a beautiful movie to me for many reasons, but it strips the view of deception. It was a touching fantasy about truth. mimi

Guest guest
One might think that I wouldn't but I very much agree with Nick. Human life, values, truth are words. Far to often our very detractors are guilty of being enormously unfeeling. I don't think it is ego centrism. I was Born in New York and my father worked in the city very near the towers. I feel the waste of human life appaling but I never understood the dogged appeal of the loss of our icon of commerical superiority. The media focused on the wrong things in my opinion. We are already paying the price. look companies make money-- ok make money but don't make the ink with my families blood. I understand where you are coming from. However, the terrible conditions are largely a think of the past in the West, at least the US and Europe. There are some people who try to get around the law, like sweat shop operators and such, but they are eventually caught. Companies can only go so far, however. Right now, Ford and GM are near collapse because of the generous benefits packages the unions have demanded over the years. Ford's debt alone is greater than many small countries. Boeing faces a similar problem. The unions keep demanding increases, even though every increase means thousands of workers laid off. Currently to work force is less than a quarter what it was 20 years ago and most of that was due to pay and benefit increases. Many smaller companies have failed because of labor and benefit costs or have gone overseas where labor is cheaper. So there is a balance point between how well the corporation compensates its people and keeping the corporation alive and providing jobs. Conditions are much better for workers now than they used to be. Just look into conditions up through about the 1930s and that is will show it, and just forget about the 1800s unless you want nightmares. I agree that many things are rather expensive, but companies have costs to cover as well. The price is largely affected by the supply of their basic materials like wheat for bread and so on. If that price rises, so will the price of bread. It is the same with everything: as materials, labor and medical costs to the company rise, that is passed on to the consumer. Let's also not forget taxes and regulations. A lot of medium sized businesses are probably going to fail because of the new, post Enron accounting requirements, because will be very expensive for them compared to the big firms. Now, I would agree that the toy industry is disreputable lot. The way they target their advertising to the kids borders on the unethical and it is designed to disrupt the peace of a home until the kid gets the toy. Guest guest
Hello Nick and everyone, Sorry if I gave the wrong impression, but I do understand my own feelings. I just can't get my therapists to understand and/or believe them. I am confortable with myself, but I have external needs which I am starving for. The type of placement I need requires their understanding and/or belief. To make a metaphore, I know what door to enter, but it is locked and I need someone to give me the key (because they own the door).. I know I am not giving you all the imformation you need to understand what I am getting at, but I have learned to be afraid of revealing too much too soon., so some of my posts may appear cryptic. But I do intend to reveal everything eventually. Zylon Re: Re: moderationIt happens and it's going to keep happening. The feelings I have I can't explain either. My latest theory is that they happened as a result of recurring focal seizures as a toddler although that's not proveable. I've found that all humans who are worth anything have unresolved issues, feelings etc.. Do you mean job placement? It is possible to get a job through Salvation Army and other places provided that you don't have a record and so forth. There are all sorts of people and most of them aren't at all worth talking to or listening to. They are wastes of human life, taking up space, spreading darkness. People were made to feel a sense of patriotism about sep.11 because somehow the people in that office building meant something to someone living in Colo-friggin-rado. I hate to say it because there are alot of sappy people who might lurk here but, I didn't feel a darn thing for what happened to "America as a whole from sep.11". I understood that it was a direct cause and effect relationship and the media bent it towards the muslims being savage and anti-women's rights. That's what they did with the Native Americans. It's a total lack of respect and brain-rape that's going on in the media and people just sit there and believe it because they don't want to face the inevitable reality that their lives are worth nothing and they will never be the ones to actually speak out because all their lives they never learned how to make a stand for themselves or for others. They are the silent zombies walking along, obeying all the rules and being afraid of everything. It looks like you have courage to not be a part of the colonies of people being told to go directly toward the slaughterhouse and willfully obeying because of lack of hope. Now what you need to do is realize that these psychiatrists only see you as an experiment and you are a farm animal to the major corporations and capitalists and advertisers. What you need is your feelings. Don't ever let them go.

Sometimes psychiatrists and psychologists tell us we are >abnormal." I knew I was profoundly different from NTs long before I ever saw a psychiatrist. In fact, they try to tell me that I am normal, until they understand and believe what I tell them. Then they are just stumped. Abilities, desires, interests, all different. Intellectual, sexual, recreational, all different. Even for my Asperger Dx, , "social problems" is too general, and "restricted interests" is not the problem. Although I must say that in my perception, NTs are the ones with the riestricted interests: social and more social. Zylon

They accept anyone who you know for a long time, (especially if they have been nice to you) or someone who you have reason to believe is your own offspring even without knowing them at all, such as a newborn baby. This is the normal instinct. In my case, I can love someone without knowing them at all, but instead of them being an offspring, they must have certain properties related to my instinct of love. And, since my instinct displaces the normal one, I do not feel instinctive love towards infants; in fact I instinctively find infants highly repulsive. Whenever I tell a psychiatrist about who I love, they search their own minds for something familiar to them, and instead of accepting that it is instinctive in me, they try to find some secondary reason why I love them, such as that it must be a substitute for something that they understand. But it is not. Zylon
