Guest guest
Hi , Gargle with ½ tsp salt and some iodine in warm water 3-4 times a day. The salt will help draw the junk out and heal your throat, and get the iodine onto your tonsils. Donna in IL

Guest guest
I would do high doses of Vit C, Citricidal (grapefruit seed extract), oregano oil and olive leaf extract. They are all natural antibiotics. This is what I did when I refused antibiotics (actually Dr B offered this option) because I didn't want to stir up another yeast issue. Steph Sore throat Dear Steph, I have got a mega dose of tonsilitis. The white spots are at the back of my throat are between the adenoids and the tonsils and there are so many they have joined up into a strip going from side to side. I went to see the doctor. He wanted to give me antibiotics in a spray form and a mouth/throat wash that has chlorine and flourine in it. So I have decided that I am going to paint my spots 4 times a day with 1% lugols. Is this OK? What else should I do? I don't fancy the antibiotics (candida?) and the mouth washn with haliders in it. Since I have started iodine I have had very sensitive ears and throat. I wonder if the sinuses in that area are full of rubbish and it's coming out and providing a medium for infection? Is this possible? What do you think? Hope you and yours are well. MacG. Guest guest
First question: aren't grapefruit seed extract, oregano oil and olive leaf extract all antifungals; and they are also natural antibiotics then is bacteria is fungus? I got my bottle of Iodoral in mail yesterday (12.5). Second and last question; what does this group think about root canals? I've heard some very negative things about them and I'm faced with having a third root canal next week. My amalgam fillings were taken out years ago. Thanks for any replies. > I would do high doses of Vit C, Citricidal (grapefruit seed extract), oregano oil and olive leaf extract. They are all natural antibiotics. Guest guest
,My husband had a root canal a few years ago. Recently, he noticed a lump forming at the side of his nose. The root canal tooth was infected. In other words, they sealed up bacteria when they did the root canal. He has had a infected tooth for who knows how long. Since they killed the nerves, he had no pain symptoms. It took several weeks to get the infection cleared, and we are still not sure he won't have to do it all over again as he thinks the lump is forming again. I'm sure others will tell you why you should not do root canals. Guest guest
I agree they are a very bad thing. After reading the root canal coverup book I decided to have mine pulled. It took my dentist 3 hours to extract it and when he removed it there was black sludge under the tooth and necrosis of the jaw. Steph Re: Re: Sore throat ,My husband had a root canal a few years ago. Guest guest
Bacteria and fungus are two different things, as far as categorization go. But it does get really complex: some " antibacterials " only work against one " type " of bacteria. There is a lot of research on this and I'm not an expert. It's probably more useful to think in terms of one cure: like, take n drops of x for y disease, per day. Guest guest
Yes I have heard this is a symptom. Just try increasing salt, mg and Vit C and see if it goes away. You can also gargle with salt water. Steph sore throat Ever since I increased my dosage over 50 mgs per day, I first noticed that I had a twitchin my left eyelid. That has stopped, however, I have noticed that I have a sore throat. It seems to be moving to different areas, Now it is on the left side. Is this a detox symptom? Before I had the twitch in my left eye lid, and now a sore throat? I have noticed that the goiter seems smaller, so perhaps the Iodine is working well. I am looking to see if the fibroids are shrinking. Any ideas on this? Jag
Guest guest
I have had a sore throat quite frequently since going on iodine. Also increased ear wax and attacks of sneezing and runny eyes. I went up to 50 mg and it got worse for a bit and now seems to have disappeared (except for the ear wax, which is not too bad). I could tell my sore throat was not due to infection because my glands in my throat were not swollen. MacG. Guest guest
Hi a, I'm in the same boat - scratchy throat, bit of a cough. Nothing serious, though, I'm hoping to be back to normal in a day or two! Donna From: a <paulajfrey@...>Subject: Sore throat Date: Monday, October 5, 2009, 1:54 PM Grrrrrr woke up with a sore throat this morning. NOT GOOD! I need to get on a plane Wednesday to seem my 90 yr old frail grandmother. I don't want to get her sick and of course I don't want to be sick for the trip. I don't think its strep.(and I can't take antibiotics unless its an emergency, so pray it isn't) Doesn't feel that bad and Terry's coworker ( the alleged source of our misfortune) bounced back in about 4-5 days. She's a smoker and unfit, so I'm hoping two is enough for me. Lots of vitamins planned, gargling, have chicken soup. What else?? Any good tricks out there? ;-)a who is also of course bummed about missing out on workouts.
Guest guest
Oh no! Not before your trip to NY! Douse yourself with herbs, Cheeka! Alas, all you can really do is rest. When I have the flu nothing over the counter seems to work that much except for I think it's called Oxy 8 or something like that? It's a spray and it actually did help both a sore throat and stuffy nose for me once. Can you take time off work and sleep? I hear ya on frustration without being able to work out! Guest guest
Hope you feel better soon Donna! Fatigue hit me last night. So I napped for a few hours. Got up for an hour and then went to bed. This morning, it is slightly better. I get picked up by the airport shuttle at 4:30AM tomorrow morning. So I hope and pray I in the least won't be contagious or miserable. a > > > From: a <paulajfrey@...> > Subject: Sore throat > > Date: Monday, October 5, 2009, 1:54 PM > > > > > > > Grrrrrr woke up with a sore throat this morning. Guest guest
Thanks , I took yesterday and today off. I'm sure they are not happy as I had taken the previous Friday off and I won't be back in the office till the 13th or 14th. Plus I'm always out sick. I've done quite a bit of work from home when I am out, these two days included. So my stuff gets done. But I still worry.... I've been vitamin girl and OJ girl. I too still have to pack my suit case. I think I will handle that in little bite size bits. And I have to change all the cat boxes. That is the big chore. FIVE cat boxes!! sigh a > > Oh no! Not before your trip to NY! Guest guest
I hope you feel better! Find ways to squeeze in some fresh veggies and fruit. Powerful antioxidants and phytonutrients are your immune system's best friends! I swear by it. I literally avoid every bug that my coworkers come down with. Haven't caught a cold or flu in ages. Guest guest
Go to www.breastcancerchoices.org for a list of detox symptoms. Yes, your sore throat probably is detox. Donna in IL From: iodine [mailto:iodine ] On Behalf Of Amy Sent: Tuesday, June 08, 2010 11:09 AM iodine Subject: sore throat I've been taking 6mg of Iodoral for about 2 weeks and I now have a chronic sore throat -- not horrible, but " thick " feeling, a little gritty feeling, and sore....and a bit red. It struck me today that it could be detox. Is that how a detox sore throat would feel? I am starting the supportive supplements today -- I hadn't done so before because 6mg is so little, I didn't think it would do anything. I couldn't find, in the files, anything on typical detox symptoms. Where would I find that info? Thanks, Amy
Guest guest
I developed a sore throat at about 2pm today and by 5:30pm could barely swallow and glands in the neck were swollen. Ran my Godzilla which runs off a dc generator with tens adhesive pads on the sides of my neck, back and front of neck and sides of cheeks including the sides of the nose for roughly 5 mins per position. It's now 11pm and the sore throat is more or less gone. Amazing! WBC

Guest guest
timne would be about 20 minutes during which you reverse the electrode positions every 5 minutes. Repeat some hours later a few times. do for a few days, let us know how you make out. bG > > > > > > > > > > I developed a sore throat at about 2pm today and by 5:30pm could barely swallow and glands in the neck were swollen. Guest guest
Thank you BG. I will continue to try and keep you posted. Would there be any benefit to having a larger pad on the lower spine and a smaller one on the front at the site of the sore or would the 2 smaller electrodes be more beneficial. many thanks WBC > > > > > > > > > > > > I developed a sore throat at about 2pm today and by 5:30pm could barely swallow and glands in the neck were swollen. Guest guest
You can try both ways, your idea makes sense using larger pad, good thinking, you are getting this idea really down. You can also try using the small at both ends judging as best you can which vertebrae the nerve lands between. It would even be possible to make two sets of wires to same 6 volts (as many sets as you want, you will never use up the power) and hit it between as many vertebrae as you want with small electrodes. Use that if all else fails, since it is work. bG > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I developed a sore throat at about 2pm today and by 5:30pm could barely swallow and glands in the neck were swollen.
