Guest guest
bG and all........ About 6 months ago I had a rear-lower 'root canalled (in late '80's) tooth break apart with one-half of it below the gum. The center had a filling which was loose. I worked with it and finally pulled it out of the broken tooth. Attached to the filling was what looks like a copper wire that was straight down into the nerve cavity. It looks to be about 5/8 " long. Still inside the tooth is a piece of what looks like rubber that I can't get out. What in this world are they doing to us? (and then laughing all the way to the Bank) I got x-rays and hopefully a soon appointment with an Oral Surgeon. It developed some discomfort in that area and I have been zapping it with my 6 volt 'Zillar' until it feels better. Last week while eating supper, I broke off another piece of that tooth. Then it started to hurt again only this time more pain. I zapped it some more and today NO Pain! But now I'm concerned with the infection that apparently is in there. Hopefully, I can somewhat get rid of most of that before the surgery. As I read on this issue, Antibiotics really don't get to the infections. Seems lazer light can help as well as Ozone, but Ozone deteriorates the bone somewhat. First of all bG, thanks for the Zappers and second, can someone shed some helpful advice on this situation. Guest guest
hopefully you can save the tooth. If it is root canal, then it was a " quality " job using rubber instead of the cheaper stuff. The wires are called " post and crown " They are put in to anchor the crown to the roots where you do not have much of the tooth left. Infection is only one source of pain. Nerve insults are also common. After a nerve has been physically hit or the covering broken away and exposed to the outside, the nerve reacts with pain. After awhile it begins to die, not from infection but from repeated insults. A dying nerve is indeed painful. Your dental folks can take care of it usually, hopefully they can save the tooth so you don't need a bridge or whatever they do. bG > > bG and all........ > > About 6 months ago I had a rear-lower 'root canalled (in late '80's) tooth > break apart with one-half of it below the gum. > The center had a filling which was loose.
