It's done. I got back just before noon. Not bad.

I've been twisted and turned in so many weird positions for the pelvic and

knee xrays that my hip & back are *really* bothering me now. I just took a

motrin 800 and will lie down for awhile.

The vampire drew what looked like half of the blood from my body and then

wanted a urine sample, too! I hate that. Peeing in a cup is just *so* icky!

My left boob got more attention that it has *ever* needed, and it got

squished really hard this time. It didn't hurt the last time, but it sure

did this time! I just want somebody to kiss it and make it better. <eg>

Now to sit back and patiently wait for the results from all of this. Ugh!

As far as the urine, the doctor thinks I may have rheumatoid arthritis.

They can test for this by doing the x-rays, along with a complete

Thanks Elena. Now I have to wait for results. I'll give them a week. If

I haven't heard from the doctor by next Wednesday, I'll call him myself.

Ugh!

((((((Sandy)))))

I'm so sorry that you are having to go through all of this. I hope

that you will have the results of all these tests soon, so at least you

will know what you are dealing with. I guess this is one of those

times when you'll have to work extra hard training that will of yours.

It's going to take some serious effort on your part to remain

optimistic and hopeful and to not let all the bad things that are

happening right now get the best of you. I am so proud of you for

being so positive so far and for getting back on track with WW. I know

how hard it is (at least for me) to still follow a healthy eating plan

when you are not able to workout. I always used to throw in the towel

whenever I stopped one of them (eating healthy or working out). You've

taken a very important step in getting right back into WW and you

should be proud of yourself for doing what you can for yourself. Take

comfort in the fact that there are circumstances beyond your control

right now that are preventing you from doing tae-bo, but know that you

are doing everything in your power right now to be healthy and strong.

There will be a time in the near future when you will be able to get

back into tae-bo and it will be there waiting for you. In the

meantime, please take care of you and know that we are all here for you

whenever you feel the need. We are all pulling for you and praying

that the results will give you the answers you need to get you back on

the road to feeling well again!

This list is a MAJOR help in keeping a good outlook on things. You have no

idea how much the people here have helped me.

Just got back from my weigh-in. DOWN 3-1/2 LBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a shopping trip planned for this weekend, and will pick up TB for

Kids and TB Gold. I should be able to do TB Gold without bothering

whatever is wrong with my back. I just *have* to exercise!

I'll review the tape when I get it, and I may start another 21dc with TB

Gold next week.

That's exactly what I was just telling Elena. Some things are out of our

control, but not everything. I may not be able to do anything about the

exercise at this moment, but I can sure do something about the food. I

have the power there, and dammit I'm gonna use it!

Now is gonna make me cry, so I'll stop now. :-)

THANK YOU ALL!

Sandy

Well done on the Weight loss :-) EXCELLENT :-)

One of my favourite quotes is exactly your attitude at the moment, keep it

up

" God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change

courage to change the things I can

and the wisdom to know the difference. "

Take care

You both are going to make me cry. I am so proud of you, Sandy. You

are an inspiration to me. After being away from exercise for a while,

I bet you will get nice results at weigh-ins once you restart taebo.

Sandy,

Wooooooo Hoooooooooo!!!! That is so awesome! To have done that

without exercising is a great accomplishment. I am so glad you have

something to celebrate amidst all this other stuff :)

Yes, I wrote her to see how things were going and she responded last

night to say that she had been out of town at a conference, she was

feeling better (no bad news from the doctor), and will be posting here

shortly once she recovers from the trip.

The thing about it is that they were describing this child that was NOT my

Gabby. Saying she doesn't imitate. Doesn't do this, that, anything.

Come on! They get her for a few hours a day. I have had her every single day

of her almost 5 years. I KNOW what my child can do.

Is there a way that I could have stopped them from doing the IQ tests?? They

aren't necessary, are they?

Hi Sandy,

Brook started developing his autism quite early, around 1+ years of age or

so. He also was having a lot of seizures at that time too. Anyway he was so

behind other kids with DS, that we never really considered a regular ed

classroom for him. He did, however, spend a great deal of time in the regular

ed kindergarten with another special ed student and one aide. He was in a

special day class, but would go into kindergarten all the time, he

participated in circle time where he learned a lot about social skills and

awareness of others. He learned not to walk on the other kids, but to step

around them etc. The older he has become the harder it is to get him

included. So at that young age it really great to take advantage of inclusion

if you think that is the right thing for your child. At his program now they

have lots of peer tutors, Brook is in 5th grade at a middle school and the

peers are all 8th graders, that come into his classroom and work with him on

the computer, etc.

There are usually different options for inclusion. You might want your

child included at lunch with the regular ed kids, or maybe not. For Brook

eating was always a big problem with textures and food refusal, etc., Also

the school always has taken advantage of lunchtime and snack time as a way to

teach him to communicate what he wants to eat and to make choices, and to try

new foods etc. It all really depends on your child and what you think the

child will gain from the inclusion

>>What happened? Did you attend?

Funny enough, yes I did go to the meeting. I was advised by two of my

advocates (how many do I have eh?? LOL) not to unless they allowed me to

tape record the meeting. The director's secretary had a fit when I agreed

under only those terms. She said no one had ever asked her that before. I

said there was a first time for everything.

I attended w/o the tape recorder after speaking w the director on the phone.

I wanted to look as though I was putting forth the good faith effort.

Recently everything we agreed on in that meeting is falling by the way side.

Things were misconstrued.

I guess that's my advice for you (and everyone really lol). Bring the

recorder if you feel the need to meet. Also, I've read ahead so I know now

that they wanted to meet over Malik, right? That's a different story all

together. We met over Gabby. Still... good advice. :)

Sandy,

Yep, I'm learning about the recorder. Last time I was going to take my

little handheld one, but decided to take the big boom box so they all would

be VERY aware of it. LOL Seth it right in the middle of the table. LOL

Thanks
