Guest guest
, My experience with my feet standing in line or just standing in 1 place for lengths of time is that first my feet start to burn. Then they go numb. Then when I try to take a step, it is like that first step is frozen, I can't feel where mt feet are, I have to take a few baby steps, then I can walk again. My feet used to do this all the time when I worked in retail. I had to learn to vary activity, some stand, some sit, some walk, etc. Something about those older rubber soled shoes years ago I swear caused heat from the ground to make my feet hotter and feel more burning. Not to mention wearing Go Go Boots that probably offered NO support! LOL If I am constantly moving, my entire body is moving in space, working as parts of a whole and I feel my feet are 'in sync' with the rest of me, helping me to propel forward. I don't get sore legs, in me it just stops at my feet. Ever since I started wearing my orthotics ALL of the above is minimal...much to my happiness. Foot burning is now limited to real hot days or days in which I cannot change shoes 3-4 times and be barefoot or get a 5 min. toe wiggle or rub in. My tennis ball roll/rub really helps with this 'foot rejuveniation'. ~ Gretchen pmaher7777@... wrote: > Also does any one know why our legs & feet get sore & tired while standing in > line or elsewhere (even a short amount of time) but aren't as uncomfortable > walking?
