HCV RNA PCR,quantitative and HCV quantasure plus(serial) tests

How different are these tests? In Dec.01,I was first diagnosed and an

RNA PCR quant. test result of 675,000.In May,I got a HCV quantasure

test which came in at 10,700,000.I've been totally freaking out

thinking it could have grown so fast in 5 mos,then noticed they're

different tests.I really need to find out what they mean,for my own

piece of mind. Has it grown the way it sounds? I've called my doc 8

times,no return calls or answer.Does anyone have any insight on

this.I really would appreciate it.It might save my sanity.

One thing that would upset me more than anything would be the

repeated attempts to get in touch with your doctor! You may want to

find a dr. that will answer your questions and be available to you,

either personally or through one of his office staff. I hope you find

some answers.
