Guest guest
I was also told by my doctor that, if the virus was cleared from my system, then I could go back to a normal life and have a glass of wine. I was also told that the only way to get it back was to get it from another infected person. The medical profession does not consider anyone " cured " because the studies have not lasted long enough. Also, has any one had any problems with a low white blood cell count? My doctor put me on Neupogon shots to raise the count, which I did once weekly for two weeks. We did some blood tests after two weeks, and my white blood cell count was sky high, so they took me off the shots. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm on week 8 of my shots. I can't wait for week 12 to see if I'm responding to the treatment. I still get fevers on the weekends and am tired, but I also have good days. I have been able to work and have only had to stay home a day a half since I started on August 30.
Guest guest
No test goes to zero and they don't know if the HepC hides in the liver itself or other organs. This is why no one will EVER be totally cleared of the virus. If you are drinking, you are risking more liver damage. I've known people who did treatment and were undetected for over 4 yrs, but then the virus came back. This is a virus, and they have NEVER been able to cure a virus yet. Save yourself the damage you risk...DO NOT DRINK!!! LeighAnn http://www.geocities.com/1Leighann
