allergy to interferon rebatol

Hi

My wife has HCV and is treated with peg interferon(once a week)

+rebatol (4 pills per day)

Treatment seemed promising untill a severe allergy started

(dermatologic all over the body including edema).

she was ordered to cease treatment, and was put on antiallergic

medication. (Clarinex) then she was put back on the pegintron so far

without any side efects.

Now she tried (with the doctors advice) to take 1 Rebaton a day and

the allergic skin reaction was visible in the morning)

(Red skin without edema)

she was ordered to stop.

We need advice of those familiar with similar symptoms.
