Guest guest
I'm on the list and waiting for my number to come up. Did you sign up with Be in Charge at Schering? They have a 24/7 support number to call - 1-880-437-2608. You can call any time to be a part of it. The nurse I talked to gave me all sorts of tips that patients share with her about taking the shots. Some take a hot bath first, so the needle goes in easier, some let the alcohol dry completely before injecting so the shot doesn't sting, some drink a big glass of water right before and right after - they say the side-effects are less. I'm sure there are lots of people on this list who can give you tips, mine are just hearsay at this point. Anyway, they are so nice, I'm sure whoever you talk to will walk you through and stay on the phone while you do it for the first time. I wish you all the best. Guest guest
Well, good for you! Gonna come back to you when my number comes up! I didn't know you had a church where they lay on hands. I've had that experience with other things, and it is amazing! I watched Larry King last night, he had on the lady who was the mother of that sweet little who was killed. He asked her why she was so strong, and she says she was lifted up by the power of prayer by millions of people. My prayers are with you tonight, hope your side effects go away soon. Guest guest
6 am Saturday morning I feel so normal! I am stiff and sore from work. VERY normal for me. It's been 9 hours. I actually have to go to work for a few hours today. I'm sure it hasn't hit me yet. Told a guy I work with, if all my hair falls out and it's the only side effect......I'd have 0 complaints. He's been on since Febuary and other than a little large muscle fatigue and soreness like you'd get from over stretching a muscle.......he's doing great...... Guess I'll take the pills starting @ noon today. Everything is supose to be the same hour. With my memory....I'm not sure HOW MANY pills I'll remember to take.....and have to do this for a year!!!????

Guest guest
I'm a laborer in new home construction, so my biggest worry right now is how I'm gonna tolerate the heat and sun for 8 to 12 hours a day. I can't eat heavy meals in this heat....so fruit and gatorade have been my main food source....and soup and crackers. I still have to go see the nurse so she can teach me how to do this.....my little sister is an ER nurse, and I used to give our cattle the injections at home as a kid, so I saw no need to wait for her. She said they'd do a cbc?.....blood count every 3 months.....and that's a worry.....A friend of mine has his blood drawn every 4 weeks. He has a doctor that is specilized in this. My doctor has a nurse. He wrote my script out....and told me it was the first time he ever wrote one for these meds.....and was based on the nurses recomendation....so I'm going to a new Doctor. The Nurse who made the appt for Sept 26 said go ahead and start the meds now. They'll have my records forwarded and have fresh bloodwork drawn so it's more current than 18 months old. I don't want to be my own doc....but will if necessary, rather than place my faith in someone who only does the biopsys and lets a nurse handle the rest......I haven't much faith in her right now either....they both seem aloof and flippent about the whole thing. Guess I'll go back to bed and rest till pill time at noon.....although I may have to do something....I'm not good at resting......kills my back and hip. Guest guest
Also make sure you eat something healthy and I think according to you Drs advise you can take 2 tylonal or advil before injection to help with flu like symptoms. I always took mine in the evening so I would sleep through allot of it. But make sure until you know how you react, you have every thing you need handy and nothing planned.
