Guest guest
I heard about CMT disease when I was 10. I sat with my mother in the doctor's office and got the diagnosis about my " funny feet " . He then presented a host of information, most of which my 10 year old brain couldn't grasp and all I could think of was " were there sharks in the water at the beach that I got this from " ? This Dr. was an orthopedist, who was in his 50s at that time. The year was about 1962. The place was Los Angeles. ~ G
Guest guest
I was 8 years old and the year was 1968. I too sat with my mother listening to the doctor explain about my funny feet and why I fell all of the time. Until recently discovering this group I had little knowledge concerning CMT all that I knew was that I had it and I just had to deal with being different. I still have the same feeling. I just do what I can and if I can not do it oh well.
