Susie what you need to do is run a newspaper add and start a group of some

type for people with CMT in your area. You can meet once in a while at a

diner near you. The MDA has addresses and information for you if you want to

start a support group.

I have seen two different people entering WalMart. I

want to go up and ask them if they could possibly be

CMTers but my since of good manners doesn't alow that.

The two people do not were AFO's but have the high

step, exarerated gait and legs that are so common to

most of you folks.

My legs are not that way and I think the ankle surgery

I had in 1987(?) helped with that. By the way the Doc

who did that surgery removed a boney protrusion when

he worked on my left foot.

But back to the subject. Would it be very rude and

uncouth for me to ask these people if they could

possibly have CMT. I want to meet people in my area

that do have it. I have not approached MDA here

because my insurance is not in affect yet and thus

have not found a support group here yet. (Ft.

Myers/Cape Coral Area/ Bonita Springs, Fl)

Need some advise before I make an utter fool of

myself.

I can do that quite easley anyway.

Another post about falling will follow this
