Excuse me Phoenix 690 but it is totally impossible to get CMT from a blood

transfusion. CMT is an inherited disease in other words a genetic disease that

affects not only the individual but members of their family.

Your so called friend Tommy was both offensive and abusive to people who live

with this chronic disease and seeing as he posted similiar messages on various

CMT sites just shows how pathetic he really is.

If he does have a problem with potential CMT (which I seriously doubt but I do

accept he does have problems) then he can email me privately on

sue@... and I'll talk to him but quite frankly I don't

think he has the balls for that. Maybe while he is thinking about it he could

check out www.cmt.org and there he will get a taste of what it's like to live

with CMT. He might even like to check out my website

www.horder-mason.freeserve.co.uk that tells a little of what it's like to live

with this disease.

However I don't for one moment think you're friend does have CMT and if you

seriously believe in your heart of hearts that he does then you feel free to

email me.

Question for you:- if you knew of someone who had terminal cancer would you or

Tommy behave the way you have done. If the answer if no - then go away the two

of you are pathetic. If the answer is yes email me and stop upsetting and

insulting my CMT family.

It's interesting Tommy hasn't written himself and also it is interesting that if

he really was interested in feed back he would not have set his account to no

mail.

What I would suggest is that unless the two of you can come up with something

constructive instead of requesting medical marijuana that you both crawl back

into the hole from which you came from and stay there.

I shall of course await your email with interest, talk to me first before

talking to my friends - they are special and I love them and they certainly

don't need the crap you're spouting.

Sue

My friend Tommy came here because he has CMT and you all make fun of

him for it. It's not his fault, it's the stupid hospital that messed

up and gave him the wrong type of blood and that's how he got it. And

he's a really nice person I know this and if you all don't believe me

just ask any of my friends and they will tell you. So I think it's

very cruel to discriminate on him just because of a disability that

he has. There's other people on this board with it and you should be

supportive not judgemental.

Dear Pheonix,

My name is Judy and I, too belong to this CMT FAMILY. By trade I'm a

filmmaker and by day I teach film to high school students. They range in

age from 15-18. Is it possible that your friend 'Tommy' has a disease

that has the same LETTERS as an acronym as our disease,

Charcot-Marie-Tooth. You mentioned radiation therapy. Your friends

" illness' sounds much different than ANYTHING remotely resembling,

Charcot-Marie Tooth Disease, which IS NOT a blood-related disease. It is

a disease that you are born with. It is part of your genetic make up,

you get it from one or both of your parents, just like the color of your

eyes. I know you guys smoke weed, a lot of guys your age do, I could

care less, but they must have taught you about basic genetics in high

school. Please don't 'Blast' anyone in this or any other group. Your

friend's first posting PROVED that he does NOT have Charcot-Marie-Tooth.

If he is ill, it is with a different disease. As Sue mentioned and

offered you to email her privately, you may do the same to me. However,

I would like a list of ALL of the symptoms and exactly WHY he may need

RADIATION THERAPY. By the way, you can't 'catch' RADIATION from a person

who has RADIATION THERAPY. If you think that you can, you better stay

away from putting your hand near a microwave. Our maybe even your

computer, they can have viruses too you know? Do you UNDERSTAND now? Oh,

I almost forgot, your friend, does he have the 'teeth' part of the

disease or just the other parts?

Um excuse me but how would you know if he does or doesn't have it?

You're not a doctor and you don't know him so why don't you lay off?

How he got it is none of your concern, you don't have any right to

treat him like garbage just because he's different. He might have to

undergo radiation therapy and I always hang out with him so I might

get radiation too. And our doctor is Dr. Nick Riviera and he's very

competent so why don't you let people live their lives in peace?

Is this true....?

Because the Tommy letter wasn't true, so maybe this isn't

either....

Cuz you can't get it from a blood transfusion,

because then we, with CMT, couldn't get blood..

Hmmm....

I apologize on his behalf for the AFO comment, even though I can't

find it. He has like mental problems and stuff. Because of all the

stuff he's been thru. Also here in Canada where we live we have a

unique accent so that may have led to the misinterpritation eh? Ya we

say " eh " a lot and it's cold out so he might have typed the wrong

words when the keyboard froze. Again, apologies.
