Diagnosed at a young age/neurontin

Hello all,

It has been quite awhile since I posted, but I am back. I appreciate

all of the information and support I get from this group.

My daughter has cmt type 1a as do I. She was diagnosed at the age of

4 and is doing very well. She is now 11, wears AFOs everyday and is

very happy. Any concerns I had about an early diagnosis have all

been put to rest. She will not have all of the compression fractures

in her back because her AFOs keep her foot from droping and keep from

falling.

Neurontin is the most wonderful drug that I curently take. I also

take Vioxx because of arthitis, but neurontin has help me with the

nerve pain and my dreams are pretty good also.
