Guest guest
Dear Susie and ers, 1) When I founded , I had to set simple ground rules and parameters. This has proved beneficial. So, one of the parameters is that NO FORWARDS CAN BE SENT, if one trys this, the system deletes it. 2) Another rule is we stick to CMT issues and as we have seen in well over 3 years now, there are a lot of issues to share on. 3) I would also greatly appreciate it if NO VIRUS WARNINGS are sent to the group, since we are well protected through . If you have a need to send Virus Warnings, send to your friends privately - OFF the list. Most are hoaxes. I personally have some GREAT software that catches all sorts of Virus cr-- and other junk mail. 4) PLEASE remember to put a topic in the SUBJECT LINE of your post. Not everyone reads every post, this also is considerate of our European members and others who may have to pay for Net/Email time. When a message is sent to it goes to all 621 members. 5) Anyone who has requested Awareness Ribbons this last week just hang on. They are ALL going out today. Our Post Office here had a fire and so I am making a special trip to mail ribbons AND requested articles from another town. 6) I have been adding many of the CMT Articles to the Bookmarks Section for easier access. Everything is alphabetical. I will continue to do this; I will also try to post at least entire abstracts, if not the entire article, which by doing this, also becomes part of our wealth of archives. 7) Welcome to our new members who just joined over the weekend. We look forward to hearing from you in a brief introduction. 8) When you reply to a post from someone, PLEASE cut and paste only the part you are referring too. This saves time and space and is appreciated. 9) All you have to do to send a message to the group is post it to then put in your topic like " question about feet " , write what you want to say, sign it (really helps so we can address our reply in a friendy manner) and hit SEND. 10) As said, I started email discussions in September of 1999. The first day, we had my friend and myself. We wondered if anyone would come. We started a CMT discussion group that would focus on our lives in a positive and upbeat manner, where people with CMT could learn 'experientially' (meaning learning from others experiences), where we could share, care, encourage, and hope. has far exceeded our initial vision. is no longer with us, due to a fatal heart attack at age 54, but I know she's smiling on all the great things happening at and at the Foundation. Thank you all for remembering our Positive and UpBeat vision and being mindful of the simple rules of good manners as stated in your Welcome Page. ~ Gretchen Glick Founder/Creator/Moderator
