Guest guest
oooooo ..... diagnosed, scheduled to see a specialist, and drunk with fear from the internet, I was numb with this new term in my life!

The Specialist

Dr. Goldsrud and staff are very cool, I felt immeadiatly comfortable and welcome (not a natural thing for me). Goldsrud explained HCV, the probability of miss-diagnosis in the 70's and what came next (at least from his perspective). I felt that some thing was not being made clear but didn't know enough to ask intelligent questions. I was scheduled for a biopsy, more blood tests, and an ultra-sound.

Depending on the results, I could be a candidate for a treatment program called interferon sold in three different forms by three different drug companies ... or I would go on the list for a liver transplant if the results were of that nature! A very broad spectrum of treatment indeed.

All things pointed to interferon, I've not started keeping the " numbers " so I am uncertian of what they are, but I was to start self injection the week following the biopsy.

To be continued ........
