I believe this is one of the neurofilament light types, think there is something in our bookmarks on it/ No one in my family has CMT either/or had it. Yes, Neurontin helps decrease the nerve pain level,it is not a cure. There isn't a cure - YET! Numbness in feet and legs is a common CMT symptom. My feet get pretty numb if I stand in 1 place too long, like at a party talking to people. I don't worry much about the 'possibility' of loosing the ability of doing things for myself. But, perhaps, you might look into the use of a scooter and some OT to keep you independent. Others are doing it. ~ gRETCHEN jj3630@... wrote: ..
