Guest guest
Mike, What is your source? How spendy? I'm gonna be real real poor for a real long time. I really don't see cancer heading my way, but I've a good shot at ESDL, I fear. I eat shitakes when I can afford them. They got them in the stores here. And the area being so damp, most every mushroom ever devised flourishes here. Lots of mold, too. Then ya got the blue-green algae folks, too. One thing I know is that I can't use ginseng. That stuff rips me up. Sally Non Magic Mushrooms Sally, Sure you already know but in case you forgot. Reishi, Coracepys, and shitake mushrooms are immune stimulators. In particular I believe they help produce more tumor necrosis fact which kills cancer. They isolated some of the chemical compounds that work and probably will develop drugs from it but not yet. In Asia they are used with chemo for cancer. These are food mushrooms and seem to have no bad side effects I eat a table spoon of powdered mix of these three every day as a tea. The powder doesn't all dissolve even when it sits in hot water but I add more water and get it all down or sometimes put it in my whey shake. The russians used it after Chernoble and it was effective in preventing radiation cancers. My crazy PHD Chemist friend told me about it and then I researched it. The only side effect I noticed is it's a little bit like caffine. I tried some before bed and could not sleep had too much energy so I have it with lunch now. Guest guest
Sally, Trimyco-Gen is the blended powder source. Forget but think about $40 plus shipping for 375 grams which is about 14 oz but lasts 5 months. Cheaper per oz is to buy a pound or half pound of each dried whole or chunked preferably and get a cheap old blender and powder em your self. If you just wanted a pound of one which should last 6 months, the Reishi is supposed to be the strongest in chem compounds. They are hard as wood and can wear out a blender. I break em in quarters on the edge of the kitchen counter first. Even blended reishi have hairy looking long fibers and have to be cooked in a glass pot for 1 hour. I like the powder cause I can make tea easy and ingest the powered on the bottom. You can find just reishi powder cheaper than the blend i got but I had some savings and went for whatever seemed most likely to be most effective. I figured if dead would have no use for the money anyway and the wife would just get it so WTF. Cubbard looks like a vitamin and herb shop with boxes of stuff. My supplement bill is like a real bad drug habbit. Mike > > Mike, > > What is your source? How spendy? I'm gonna be real real poor for a real long > time. Guest guest
Mike, I hear ya on the supplements lines. I have been supporting my sick liver for years by way of carefully planned supplementation. I have managed to get the costs down to about $500 every 4 to 6 months. That will probably come to a screeching halt. I do have a wee bit of the 401-k left. We shall see. Take good care of yourself. I'll check out your source. I've been pretty leery of the mushroom route. Something about it doesn't feel quite right to me. I eat the heck out of artichokes, though. Guest guest
Sally, Well they are food mushrooms and it does sound weird but those Asians often turn out to be right regarding stuff they been using as meds for the last 4,000 years not always but usually. I'd do some research as usual and see if it looked worth the cost. Think the cordyceps and shitaki are way cheaper than the reishi so that may be a low cost possibility.
