Guest guest
, Sounds sweet. We get some trout in the creek my cousin caught one about 2.5-3 lbs and carp up to about 15 lbs and some nice big smallmouth but real hard to catch the big ones and catfish. Years ago they closed the public bridge and some of the roads. Now it's a private road with a lock and nobody fishis it but the coz. He's got a strech of some of the best water on that part all full of bolders and fallen timber and undercut banks. Used to have a seven foot deep pond with 7 plus lb largemouth that had so many bass in the spring you could hook one have em throw the hook and get another on before you could real it in. I've caught 15 lbs of bass in 10 min there. All bass and a few scared frogs and most of the bass were big cause the little ones were on the menu. Someone washed out weed killer equipment in the pond one day and the party was over but the other ponds have 4 lb bass. I can't seem to catch a bass over 5lbs but don't fish big bass lakes or make a relegion out of it like I used to when younger. I like those big salt water fish like dolphin and small tuna 10-20 lbs. Used to go to Florida every year and rent a boat for a week or go to canada and fish the Bow river and mountin hike. Ive caught 4-5 trout on the bow in a half day over 18 in and some over 21. One time had a monster of a brown on and got him to the bank for what I finally thought was the last time and he got turned againg and out went the hook. It's throw back but I would a been tempted to buy a 25 in brown fake plastic mount to commemorat it if I'd a got him. Have buddy I started fishing with when we were in short pants in Fla with a 23 ft dual 250 outboards who runs 50 miles to bahams about every month or so and fishes year round. If he's not killing mamals or killing fish he's not fully happy. His motto is if it's edible im gonna kill it and eat it. Most redneck Itallian you ever saw. Calls himself a redneck to the embarassment and down right horror of his kin folk. Hates Opera music and likes country. Drinks beer like water and not red wine.
