Guest guest
What do you mean your neck locks forward? i think that is what mine does, but i'm not sure. I go to the chiro three times a week for YEARS. i love him. But I was curious about your neck going forward. I have a severe reverse curve, and i remember not being able to hold my head up. I hope you feel better!!!! cindy > > I have had increasing neck and back pain for roughly 30 yrs, not > related to any accidents, but due to several medical disorders. > I have had mixed results with chiropractic in the past, but it seems to > be the only treatment that has helped at all, and has any hope of > keeping me as functional as possible and decreasing the pain level. > I am currently looking for a chiropractor who is good at adjusting the > cervical spine (neck), using rotary break techniques (not drop table, > toggle, etc). Guest guest
My cervical vertebrae are locked ( subluxated) in an anterior position, they can't pivot backward in order to form the curves in the neck. This is not one of my original symptoms. I have had MRI's, which show nothing that would cause this (or that would cause any of my other pain symptoms in the neck and back) Apparently chiropractors are not taught specifically how to adjust an anterior subluxation (maybe because it is difficult to do? I don't know-) I am looking for a chiropractor who is good with necks (and necks, I think, are tricky to begin with) Thanks - lmasju Re: New to group/chiropractic questions > What do you mean your neck locks forward? i think that is what mine > does, but i'm not sure. Guest guest
Your right, necks are tricky. I found a good chiro. but i was lucky, I dont know about that, i think a good chiro could do a neck like yours. I'm just guessing. My neck may be similiar to yours,it locks up, have a subluxation, and reverse curve. you know what, the best way to find one maybe is ask people in your town or city. ask people at the stores, anywhere you go. Who is a good chiro in the area.? They'll probably know. That is sort of how i found mine. cindy > >> > >> I have had increasing neck and back pain for roughly 30 yrs, not > >> related to any accidents, but due to several medical disorders. > >> I have had mixed results with chiropractic in the past, but it > > seems to > >> be the only treatment that has helped at all, and has any hope of > >> keeping me as functional as possible and decreasing the pain level. > >> I am currently looking for a chiropractor who is good at adjusting > > the > >> cervical spine (neck), using rotary break techniques (not drop > > table, > >> toggle, etc). Guest guest
THanks, . I do keep asking people in the area, but no luck so far. Seems that most people who go to chiropractors have back problems, instead of predominantly neck problems - Re: New to group/chiropractic questions > Your right, necks are tricky. Guest guest
One thing I found out about chiropractors is they need to do a stand up xray on your sping to show you what is wrong. If you have a neck problem you should be able to see your progress after a time of adjustments. Terry
Guest guest
That's true (but do the regular x-rays show subluxations, or do they show 'only' arthritis and frank pathologies?). I have found that the the x-ray techs place the person in the position that they want the patient in - so if a person has an abnormal stance, or tilts to one side, that won't necessarily show up in the x-ray, right?
