Guest guest
RE: FEAR is the " unknown " ! CMT or not, none of us " truly know " what is in our future! We like to " think " we do, and that we are in control . . . but honey, I " ve been talking to my oldest daughter long distance in Florida about every other day. . . about her fears, and her future; she still hasn't decided at age 24 what she wants to be when she grows up. . . and has a daughter, age 5, to support and at the moment a husband who is in the military! She doesn't know from one day to the next, where they might be moved next or when; if he will be with her, or if he will be going to Kuwait, Korea or some other unknown tour! The thing to do is to make the most of THIS DAY. . . and the things you can do today; work on things you CAN do and things you CAN control (attitude and how you choose to react or respond to things around you) Plan for the future as best you can, but have a backup or alternate plan. The worst thing is to not to be flexible and adapt to changes. As the old Cliche goes, " Two things are certain, Death and Taxes " . The rest is subject to change at any time! Life is like the ocean, every changing and moving. . and if we learn to go with the flow and move with it, we can adapt far better than if we go against the tide and get sucked into the undertow! A recent book I recommend reading. . . " Who Moved My Cheese? " Life is " uncertain " in every aspect. . . and there is no magical formula to help us eliminate the FEARS. But, if we focus on those things we Can DO and what we CAN Control. . . we can get through most anything! At age 44, I constantly have had to change things in my life and still do; every time I get things going well, and have learned to cope . . . BANG!!!!!! Limits kick in. . . and everything shot out from under me and back to square one! This has been my life, but you know I am thankful, for it opens opportunity to grow and develop! First of all, it never allows me to stale mate or get bored, I am constantly " forced " to learn new things and develop and discover new talents in myself! What a surprise! I write poetry, song lyrics, and articles; Things I never thought I could or would do! So, focus on one thing at a time. . . make the most of THIS day for it is what we have and REMEMBER; As my Dad always taught me, " Worry is a Waste of Time and Energy! Why Worry about things you can't do anything about, for it won't change anything but your happy heart; If you can do something about it, why worry, just go do something and dont' waste time worrying! " Some things we CAN control and some we can't! Accept what you CAN do, and the rest must be left to " higher powers " . Participate in life around you. . . don't sit and watch it go past, for FEAR of falling. . . " I HOPE you DANCE. . . " lyrics by LeeAnn Womack! Large Gigantic HUGSSSSSSSSSSS; Libby ===== " I THANK GOD FOR MY HANDICAPS, FOR, THROUGH THEM, I HAVE FOUND MYSELF, MY WORK, AND MY GOD. " - Helen Keller " A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.
