I fought AFO's with all my gumption, it was the only way to go (last resort).

I wish maybe I had not waited as long as I did , I wasn't fully aware of the

deterioration of my quality of life-+ I had gone so long past where I should

have (to stop deformity) undiagnosed.

AFO's were something I hated but also gave me so many things, a new life.

I had to overcome the my stigma of them!

They stink and I love them!

If I could just fix my back now!!!!!!

yeap, they used to be hard metal attached to special

shoes at the heel, you had no choice but where them or

wear slippers or go bare footed. Daddy had cords

attached to the toe of his shoes to the top of the

brace to keep his toes from folding under him.
