It's Jim and I am at or just past your crossroad.

Today I had an appointment with the Neuro. The purpose

was for him to verify that neurontin was ok by me and

to prescribe it if so. He also was to prescribe either

in shoe orthotics or AFOs. My decision was yes to the

neurontin, yes to the AFOs. Trouble is suddenly

symptoms worsened (it seems I have caught a bug) and

now he wants another NCV-EMG to be " on the safe

side " .You cannot believe what I'm going through, I am

in misery, trying to work on my feet, taking nothing

but vitamin E, my left foot is numb to the knee and

the right is numb to the ankle or just above. I fell

on the ice last week and cannot walk up a flight of

stairs without stopping. There are laws protecting

assholes like this from what I would enjoy doing to

him if I were not made of better stuff (sorry Sue,

this is not just your domain, and I'm not laughing).

Right now I don't care what it looks like, give me the

AFOs for the worse times, a night or two of sleep and

a decent caring man like Susie's doctor.

I hope I'm not scaring you off Mamie, I don't usually

vent like this but I hope your cmt never takes a turn

like this.
