Dear Doc, you are real sweet person! No kidding...I am so serious! Not too

many folks would take the time and energy and $$$ to set up a site and keep

it going...let alone answer questions! Persnally, I have been blessed by

this site. I thank you for it. I think GI Hep and Hepatitis -Central really

have pulled me thru from diagnosis-treatment and now slightly beyond. There

was never a time that I felt alone...I always knew I could come to either

site and find a compassionate friend. It has made all the difference. It

was partly due to your influence that I decided to try treatment. It got me

thinking about it and when the time became apparent that I needed to do it, I

was ready. It wasn't pleasant in any way, shape or form....but i DID

it...and when things got hard, I found solace in these 2 sites. Just alittle

note to say 'THANKS DOC!' God Bless and take care, mzgee

Just another view point. I don't post much but read everything, have gotten

some valuable information/ insights from Claudine, Tatezi, the doctor and

others, ( thanks to all ) wish the best for each of you on this list and

believe we will all be ok at the end, but I think what the original poster on

this meant is, most of us are dealing with severe fatigue, some of us are on

other lists too so this is not the only mail list we are scanning for

information. So when people are just answering each other in one liners, (

and I have even been guilty of that ) or not really info about the virus, its

just that , although thats nice, it could be done in personal email. Not

trying to create bad feelings, but it could just as easily be done that way

and I don't think the original poster was asking too much.

Maybe theres a way to do this with the subject line or something, where if

its hep info, we put info in the subject line and if not, then people can

delete that email if they dont want to read. One of the other lists I was on

did something like that. Anyway, just an idea, theres usually a way to

compromise on this stuff.

I agree with original poster, but understand the personal support some need

from others.

Being a Vietnam veteran with HCV, I also read a lot of military email. I only

have a certain amount of time and think the idea of placing some sort of flag

in the subject line is a great way of letting us know which emails will have

essential information and which ones are " chit chat " that we can come back

later to read when we have more time.

Concerning the itching, I take one diphenhydramine (HCL 25MG) when I get up

and one before I go to bed. It helps me control the condition somewhat. It

really is terrible, isn't it?!!

I empathize with everyone on the list and do enjoy reading all the emails

when I have time. Problem is, sometimes I have to be selective with my time.

Your friend,

Gene

Yes, AlleyPat, I totally agree too!!!!! I think we should feel free

to say what is on our minds without having to censor the non-hep

sentences. This is still a supposedly free country and all us heppers

I hope don't think about the illness 24/7. It's getting so I'm

watching everything I write and wondering " does this fit the

criteria " ? I hate that! Let's face it folks, we are sick enough

without having to deal with this too.

To make this " relevant " I am wondering how many heppers who aren't on

treatment at this time are feeling lousy? By lousy, I mean feeling

fatigued, can't sleep properly, feeling fluish 5 days a week and can't

work, or have major difficulty working. Any takers? lol.

Yes sweetie..you are very right on this, I do understand the position

of the original poster...like you said, I know we can come up with a

peaceable solution. I meant no offense to anyone in anything I've

said.

Not me. I try to stay within the confines of the email list's

parameters but I don't give it too much thot. On the sorbo_andromeda

email list (about the tv show Andromeda starring (the hunk)

Sorbo) we did get off on a " blow up doll " conversation that wasn't

really relevant to a G rated list hahahahaa. um. .well...

<<To make this " relevant " I am wondering how many heppers who aren't

Carol that pretty much defines hep c doesn't it? I've been that way

over 10 years now. I haven't seen much improvement at all, but a more

gradual increase in all the symptoms.

I work, but it takes all I got. I rely on herbal stimulants to make a

week. Today I stayed until 7:30 pm at work, due to meetings. That's a

9 and 1/2 hour day, not including the hour for lunch and the hour to

work and the hour home. so that's 12 or more hours nonstop. I've

pretty much been able to cancel the hour for lunch and eat at my desk

to reduce the amount of time I spend at work. Hubby drives to and

from work (we ride together) so that allows me some time to rest, I

keep a small pillow and throw in the car. But it doens't help much,

even the car ride tires me.

Carol, more heppers than not feel as you described. It's part of the

hep c deal.

I must have misunderstood the origin of the subject line! My

apologies.

I try to put " off topic " in the subject if I am posting something not

hep/personal related.

However, everything I do, feel, say, LIVE IS hep c related. Just no

way around it.

Sometimes we do stray and it's good to be re-focused by the list

owner or someone who has noticed.

I never stay.. never never ever!!!! NOT!

No joke! I tried the Benadryl, but I'm so groggy with it there's no

way I can work on it. My doc said he read some studies that were done

with people taking benadryl versus people who drank a lot at nite and

then did reaction tests the next morning. The people who did the

benadryl the nite before scored decidedly poorer than the people who

drank a lot the night before. (Now don't ask for specifics, this is

second hand I'm givin' ya, so take that into acocunt k).

<< Problem is, sometimes I have to be selective with my time..>>

Same here! I've put almost all my email lists on " no mail " so my

mailbox program doesn't get bogged down. Then I can go into any

specific group thru the website and ketchup if I have time or

just jump in like I have this week.

Some days I just really need to vent to other heppers who understand

the frustrations, sometimes I need specific info, sometimes I just

wanna say HI! :)

Whicher reason, it's good to know yall are here :)

Dear Ally,

Gee I wish you hadn't said that about Benedryl. However, I only take 1/2

tablet at night. That seems to settle things down enough to let me sleep

without putting me in a blanket of fog the next morning. Good thing, since

I've pretty much given up caffiene.

We're always here.

I appologize for disappearing for so long. We have completed the move.

Obviously the computer desk arrived and the computer is set up. Somebody

give me an overview of what's up with everybody so I can catch up.

LOL,

Anne

Anne,

Glad you mad the move ok!

Nothing much to catch up on with me. Working, resting, working lol.

I did get a black mole cut off my leg Friday. I should know this week if it

is cancerous or just a black mole.

Also enjoying the mild autumn we are having in Dallas, in the lower 80's

till Thursday they say then the upper 60's. I hate cold weather! haha

take care
