Additionally I do not sleep well most nights because of cramping in my legs and intermittant muscle twitching all over. That has lessened since I've been off work, but still happens 4 out 7 nights a week. Response: I, too, began exercising about 4 months ago. I go to " Curves for Women " which involves hydraulic resistance machines/combined with low impact aerobics. I use my cane for assistance. It's a 30 minute routine followed by a series of stretches. Before I started this, I suffered terribly with leg cramps and other muscle spasms. Even though my neurologist has " cut me back " to 3 days a week (I was going 5 days a week), so as not to overstress my weakest muscles, I have seen a great benefit. I no longer have cramps of any kind, and I am CONVINCED it is because of the stretches, not the exercise. But I think the improvement in my stamina is because of the exercise. I'd encourage you to try stretching after your Bowflex workout, and don't rush it. I stretch for about 10-15 minutes after every workout. Hope it works for you too!
