Guest guest
Well, Martha, I can understand that. My brother is similiar. When he picked me up several years ago, he says 'get up and walk to the car' - this was after a 16 hour Cairns/Sydney/LA flight with definnite jet lag and some spradic sleep, but I had some airsickness too. " No " I said, and off he pushed me to the parking lot another million miles away. Last trip back from Raro he was much improved:) Now he just makes sure I get to check-in and the airlines has a wc for me - I graciously thank him and say 'you can go now'. I realize one cannot say that to a spouse! Wonder if your hubby could just walk some distance behind you while you are being cared for by the airlines? Guess some people, even in our families have a 'wheelchair stigma thing', not realizing HOW a wc as tool can help us have a pleasant time. Now my girlfriends and male friends have no problem with this airport/wc tool thing, just bro! ~ Gretchen Martha Emery wrote: > ok - can you talk my hubby into that please??? He hates " making a scene " which he says I did when I did pre-boarding. He is really good about everything else associated with CMT but he is really funny about that.
