Guest guest
Gretchen, Owen has a valid point. We all know Doctors are now putting nearly all Neurological problems into the CMT caldron, for lack of a place to put them. Perhaps that would account for the unusually high incidence in your research, again it is necessary to see the data. Guest guest
Dave: using data from World 2001 Census. Breakdown by countries is coming, however, first am doing the countries with largest economical projections for 2025, as I have been asked by the researchers I am doing this for. Remember, CMT affects 1 out of 2500 people = to 4% of population. I have accounting staff working with me on this. However, first I need to get the project completed. Since I work, this takes up my free time, plus I do gratis too, so sit tight OK? ~ G
Guest guest
Gretchen - I talked with the Drs in Detroit about the rise in CMT and they felt that it is an awareness issue and more people being tested. So basically that's only 30 years of diagnosis, etc. And there are so MANY neurological diseases and symptoms. I DO think, however, now, just from watching this list for 3 years that MORE people are being diagnosed LATER in LIFE - I mean age 50 and beyond, whereas, CMT used to be diagnosed more frequently in childhood. Other factors here include medical care, or lack of, denial, etc. (alot of variants) I'd like to HOPE more Drs. are becoming aware of CMT! Owen wrote: > > I have a question.
